Had the same problem and changed PHP to 7.2. Solved the problem

I excluded it and let the FVM delete both caches. It works. But even better: removing the exclude of

ex: /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popular-posts/public/js/wpp-4.1.0.min.js

and purging the caches seems to solve the problem as well. There might be some changes during the update that needed to cleanup the minify work.

Don’t get the debugger to work. No idea what is wrong. Could you please name me the JS file and I exclude it in the minifier? This might be the quickest solution right now. As soon as I have the time to get the debugger working, I’ll come back.

yes, on the customizer the widgets loads. It loads as well, if I log in to the admin section and switch to the front-end (logged in user), but NOT if I’m not logged in.

I do see an error while not logged in:
[Error] Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 400 (Bad Request) (popular-posts, line 0)

Hi Ben,

the link is in the iCal calendar in the “URL” line.

It would be great to use this a href target for the calendar entry in wordpress. It would even help if it shows up in the description of the event (after sync). Or in the information regarding the venue/organizer. But it does not show up at all.

PIWIK is similar to GA. The two give me similar view counts. Now I understand how your plugin works. I will have an eye on it and if I can figure out where the differences may com from, I let you know. It is still a little bit strange but I will figure out. Your explanations on the last “this” (compared to Jetpack) give me some ideas where to look at.

Did what you suggested. Sorry for not reading the Ajax setting before (as it was clear stated on the option). The cache timeout is set to 720 minutes now (was 600 before).

The overview plugin is the one from PIWIK.

I would understand if the numbers are always higher on one view on the stats, but not that one is higher on the admin stats and the other is higher on the static part.

Am I right saying the admin view is counting each visit to the page? The same should be done by PIWIK (it is URL based as far as I understand). So these two numbers should be the same. On the list view it counts the post only if it is new generated?

As I said, I have the other way around as well. In the list view 340 and the admin stats 72 – though it is less than 10 days old and the admin is on 21-dec till today.

Stop research. It was a problem in the Plugin (or my kind of configuration I did). After using another one for Minify JS and CSS everything works fine – no more errors.

Found another one that works without any problems together with tablepress – just in case: Fast Velocity Minify

Good guess! You are correct. Disabling BWM did resolve the problem. But at the end is not a final solution. I did try to exclude some of the JS from the minify process (there is a exclude option per file). I did try with those:

jquery-core
jquery-migrate
jquery-form
query-monitor

But this did not help. Is there any way I can find out with QM which one(s) to exclude? I did try some other plugins that did not give me the best solution (and other problems) as well.

I did deactivate the three listed ones. One by one, deactivate, QM again, activate again.

These were:
– WPPA (WP Photo Album Plus)
– Mailpoet 2 (that’s the wysija-*)
– Cookie Notice

Problem was still existing.

The reason might not be the Theme either as I did change it a few days ago. Problem existed with the old Theme.

I know there is something weird in my installation and QM was my hope to find it.

Two more “problems” that might be involved in the same reason:
– the build in editor jumps to the end of the page if I try to add a link
– the plugin update never comes back on its own (admin page, not the one in installed plugins – that is fine)

BTW: Switching off heartbeat gives an error as well (admin pages, wp-auth-check)
