To cure this issue I modified the product category from ‘book-category’ to just ‘category’. But I now have a wee problem of Google picking up the links in the first post I made and complaining about being redirected to my home page. Is it possible to edit the URLs in the first post to prevent the redirect issue that Google is complaining about? I just need to change ‘book-category’ to ‘category’.

Update, I actually got the categories to display correctly by changing to the default settings, but as soon as I tried the custom setting the category links redirected to the home page.

I then shortened the category permalink from ‘book-category’ to just ‘category’, and now everything is working fine. Thanks for everyone’s input!

Hi, I tried switching to the default structure but the result was the same, all product categories still redirect to the site home page ??

Thanks for your suggestions, but I still have not got to the bottom of this. I am not using a redirect app, and I have tried the links with all plugins disabled and a default theme with no success.

The products permalinks are separate from post permalinks, and I am using a custom base of ‘book-category’ for the book categories. All links are correctly spelt and there are no duplicate naming conflicts.

I have temporarily gotten around this problem by changing the product category link to a custom # which simply opens a sub menu. I have then started listing the individual products on those sub menus. Not ideal, but at least it works!

I finally got this working! I set it up on a new site without any problems, then realised on my original site that I had your permalinks extension also installed. I disabled this and everything suddenly worked!

I do have another question however. In the proxy posts, details of most of the record fields appear, but not the link fields. I have a field which includes a link to a location in Google maps. Is it not possible to include this type of field?

I’m completely at a loss with this. All the proxy posts are there, the links on the list are clickable e.g. https://www.ukds.uk/driving-test-centre/poole/ but each link leads to a 404

I have already taken that step. I have carefully read through the instructions and carried out each step as described but I just can’t get this to work. In fact even the hyperlinks from the main record page at have stopped working?

Thanks for the suggestion but that didn’t work. I deactivated all plugins and switched to Twenty Twenty Four but the levels were still not showing up.

I’ve also tried installing PMPro on a brand new WordPress site, the levels did show up on that but then it crashed the site saying that there were too many redirects.
