Version 1.74 of the plugin has some support for the localization of the plugin settings page.

It does not contain the actual localization files, but those can be generated using for instance this tool:

Everything is possible, but what you are asking is currently not planned.

The plugin is intended as a ready-to-use solution for people that dont want to fiddle with files, configurations and programming. As such it has limited options.

You probably should consider a different solution, such as not using the wordpress plugin, but installing the whole pgn4web software on your server, create the page you like better and use it on your wordpress pages. Not to hard to do for someone with programming skills.

Changing the chessboard size is not supported from the settings page for the plugin.

Depending on the wordpress theme in use, the category/tags view might not show the entire post but only an excerpt. Also depending on the theme, the excerpt might get stripped from HTML tags. The embed-chessboard plugin uses the <textarea> and the <iframe> plugin, hence the chessboard display might get broken when in category/tags view. Some themes allows for configuring the excerpt, for instance the atahualpa theme allows specifying which HTML tags should not be stripped from excerpts. By preserving the <p>, <textarea> and <iframe> tags then the chessboard is properly displayed in the category/tags view. Please check the behavior of your theme if the pgn4web chessboard is not displayed correctly when in category/tags view.

not sure I understand your question:

Can one use embed chess & embed chess Iframe in the same post?

if you refer to the two methods listed here:

– using the pgn4web embed-chessboard plugin
– using a generic plugin enabling iframes
then I dont see any issue or conflict, so they should work in the same post… but why dont you just try and come back here if you have a problem?

Anyway, embed-chessboard uses the [pgn option=value …] … [/pgn] tag.
The only conflict you might have is with another plugin using the same [pgn] tag, I never tried but I guess then only one of them would apply.

the plugin does not have a “flip” feature, so there is no option like
[pgn flip=true]

the viewer can flip the chessboard by clicking on square E7 (assuming White on bottom, D2 otherwise)

personally, I find it confusing having diagrams “flipped”, but that’s just my perception

As of version 12, the plugin has a configuration option (admin panel, settings menu, embed chessboard item) to configure vertical/horizontal layout, as well as tag option such as [pgn layout=horizontal] … [/pgn]
