In reply to: [Import Members from CSV for Paid Memberships Pro] Change Joined dateThomas,
Thank you for getting back to me. Sorry it has taken a while to respond. I have tried using that column as you said, but it doesn’t seem to change the date. Here is the import screenshot of my csv file I am using and the membership record. You can see that the date hasn’t changed. Am I doing something wrong ? Do I need more columns on my import file ?

In reply to: [Import Users from CSV] Import users doesn’t appear on teh Users MenuHi @andrewza
Thank you for the confirmation. As somebody who is involved with the plug in, I wonder if I can be cheeky and ask a follow up question. For some reason I have a number of members who have a Joined date a few years in the future. I don’t know how that happened, I just inherited it but it may have happened when Membership Pro was first installed and they added a few initial members.I am wanting to change this so their membership joined date is in the past. How can I change their dates manually ?
Many thanks in advance.Andrew,
Many thanks for your speedy help and guidance I will contact that group.Best regards
PaulI believe they may have been. After I took over, I used a plug in called “Paid Memberships Pro – Import Members from CSV” by Thomas Sjolshagen and this seems to have imported them without an issue with the date.
I do also have “Import Users from CSV Add On” by Stranger Studios Active (is that the one you mean ?) however, it doesn’t show up on my users menu to be able to use it. I will try logging a post on that thread.
On the Import Members CSV I did try changing the date by putting in a value for Membership Start Date but that made no difference to the Joined Date. I assume that is the same date ?
Thomas, Thank you. I have now found somebody that has helped with the Membership Pro side and has managed to get the address fields showing.
In conclusion to this thread, I have now, with your wonderful help, managed to import over 2600 members into the membership system.
So thank you very much for your help and patience. Naturally, I have also clicked the donate PayPal button. worth every cent !
Best regards,
PaulThomas,
BTW, I should have added that after installing your update the import worked with the other plug in activated. Thank you.
PaulThomas,
Thanks so much. I can’t believe I missed the “Add order” check box. That has created the order for me. I didn’t seem to need the membership_gateway and membership_subscription_transaction_id columns present in my import file.I do have one question though, and this may need to be aimed at the Paid Membership Pro team but I will try asking now.
The import has now created a user, a membership record and an order. The membership record shows me the address when I display the Members list for the imported member. However, that screen does not give the ability to make a change to the address. If I go into the order, I can change the address, but this has no affect on the members address shown in the list. How can I, as admin, make a change to the member record ?
As I say, if this goes beyond your remit, please feel free to tell me.Thomas,
Sorry it has taken me so long to reply, I was away longer than expected.
I have now tried it again with SUCCESS !
Just like @kineticpulse , I also had the Paid Memberships Pro – Import Users from CSV Add On by Stranger Studios and after disabling it, the import has created my membership record.
So thank you both very much.I just want to check one thing. The import created the user record and the membership record but it didn’t create an order record. Is that to be expected ? and would it cause me a problem if there is no order record ? The import is for non paying members anyway.
Edit : Actually there is an issue, in that without the order, I cannot amend the address fields once the user/member is created

Thomas,
Thank you for getting back to me.
I have uploaded my file to
https://www.dropbox.com/s/p8dr2gtck3y60n6/Test_Example_import_2.csv?dl=0Just to let you know I am about to go away for 4 days, so I won’t be able to get back to you for a little while if you reply.
I appreciate your help.
Andrew,
Many thanks for your reply. That plug in looks like it will certainly help if I need to manually add a new member. As most of our members were exported in already as users and are non paying members, I just want to get them into the membership list. If I change their membership level, as I mentioned, it does then appear in the membership list with no order which is actually fine for me, but will it cause a problem if there is no order associated with a member ? I.e, I have a user record and a membership record and no order record.Your code recipe looks like it will sort out the problem of being able to amend their addresses although, I would need to see if I can help to implement it as I am not that confident in my WordPress skills.
Thanks again.
