leanderbraunschweig’s fix worked. Save me from changing themes on four websites tonight – THANKS!

I enter test in WordPress. I copy and paste to Word. I copy and paste back to WordPress, and now I see:

In my code. When I had and used the Paste from Word button I did not get this garbage.

I understand why you suggest changing themes and turning off all my plugins, but this is an active blog and I do not want to do that to my readers.

One more “no it does not work” voice. How many will it take before we are believed?

I understand it was changes by TinyMCE, not WordPress. I understand it is supposed to be an improvement.

However, it does not work the way it used to, and sometimes it makes a big mess of things. That is a problem for the end user regardless of who changed it or why.

So the question is this – does anyone care enough to look at why it is not working right and fixing it?

Hours after you said ” showing a maximum of five cards at full screen width” we started to see six. Is six the new limit, or the final limit? I am not blaming you, you just report what they tell you.

Using display none will allow us to cut down the numbers shown, but not the number generated, which seems a bit of a waste. Please explain to TPTB that we want to have the choice, and that there are other systems that will do that if Shareaholic chooses not to give the end user that power.

And, like Natasha above, it seems that only a very few of my posts are being used. How can I check and fix this?

I have seen the same on several sites this weekend – six items, and sometimes in two rows.

This is really getting out of hand! Please give us the ability to control this.

I am now seeing six (https://www.the-generous-wife.com/2013/08/24/a-time-to-celebrate/), and on occasion it has five on one line with another below. Clealry it is not doing in the real world what it does in tests. Seems every time it updates it gets worse.

As my other choice is removing it, the custom CSS seems like a good plan.

This shows “resolved” but four months after “an update release will be within the next couple of weeks” it is still not updated. Now over a year.

Is it dead or not?

Related content is now suddenly showing 5 items. This is crowding my layout. I can find no way to change it.

You use to have good controls, but now it seems I can’t change much, and what I can is well hidden and off my blog.

I had the same problem. Go to the CSS tab and chose no for “Combine CSS files”. Save.

It writes the combined file to the CDN, but no reference shows up in the page code.

I’ve tried to work around this by manually adding a link to the combined CSS, but it gets removed by the plugin!

I am using CloudFlare, but turning it off did not fix the issue. WP is current.

Now when I try to register I am told:

Unable to verify that you are an admin user.

Strike two.

SOLVED!

CloudFlare’s new Rocket Loader? set to automatic causes the problem in Firefox and Chrome, but not in IE and Opera. Setting it to manual solved the problem.

I had bypassed CloudFlare early on, but must not have cleared the cache after doing so. And yes, I had Rocket Loader? off on the other domain.
