  • I’m having a two year battle with mailing tubes. I have 24×18 prints. Priority tubes do not show up as an option for me. I’ve tried sizing the prints for shipping purposes 24x3x3, 23.93x3x3, 24×2.93×2.93, 23.93×2.93×2.93. I’ve adjusted the weight of the box and the print a hundred times. I’ve tried creating a USPS first-class mailing tube in 24x3x3 and 26x3x3. It doesn’t show up as an option in Woocommerce Services. Nothing works. I’ve never sold a print. Shipping options are not available to customers. This needn’t be so difficult. How about settings->shipping->packages->mailing tube, then under products, a drop down to select the package that’s most appropriate? I can’t get the past two years back, but maybe I can regain some sanity if something like this were implemented in the coming weeks. What do you say? Who’s with me?

I cannot get mailing tubes to show up. The art prints are 24×16. The mailing tube is 24×3. I crated a custom package, “First-Class Mail USPS 24″ x 3 Tube.” Do I need to go to 26×3 mailing tubes to trick this new algorithm into working? Incidentally, every now and then I see Priority Mail tubes pop up as an option, but I’d rather use First Class for Intl. I hope that’s not asking too much. Thank in advance for your reply.

Thank you for the valuable information. I’ll try it and report back.

My forms are working, but I don’t see a recaptcha test in my forms. I’ve done everything recommended in this string: I integrated the new keys from Google, removed the [recaptcha] and I’ve tried things with and without the <div class=”g-recaptcha” data-sitekey=”number”></div> in the additional settings area. It’s frustrating because since v3 I’ve been getting spammed like crazy.

I too am having this issue. One of these days I will actually launch my store…as a completely bald man.

Incidentally, things worked fine in test mode. Once I turn off test mode, this hell breaks loose. The only plugins running at WooCommerce. Nothing else.

Another day or two of this (I’ve been in soft launch mode for 3 months) and I’ll need to start beta testing something else. Any recommendations? Shopify?

    Thanks

I have the same problem and will not use this until a solution is revealed.

You may be right. I tried with Power Press and got the same result.
I’m using X The Theme, which is one of the more popular high end themes.
Perhaps Clammr and Themeco should get together?
    Thanks

I’m in. Thanks for your patience. After uploading one more time, I got the database connection error again. I double-checked the config info and it was correct. So…I deleted the database and made a new one, updated the config file and bingo. I’m in.

Something is fickle on my side and it needs to be punished.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Case closed.

    catacuastic,

I think you caught me mid delete/re-upload.
If you look now everything is there. My past uploads I was just dragging the wordpress folder over. This time I dragged the contents of the folder over. New, not encouraging result: “Error establishing a database connection”

I’ll give this a few minutes for you to check it out…then I’ll do what you suggest.

Very lost now. 5 minutes has turned into 5 hours. I understand I am not a pro, but setting up a database in mysql if fairly rudimentary. Unzipping, altering and renaming the the config file is simple. I did allude to the leaving “localhost” for DB_Host.

I am downloading wordpress from www.ads-software.com. Changing the config file locally, and uploading to the root. When I upload to the public_html folder I get an entirely different set of problems.

I have deleted databases and started with fresh ones.

All of my permissions are established 0644.

I have a recent version of php on my server.

    Wilmingtonfumc.org produces this:

    Index of /

    cgi-bin/
    fonts/
    images/
    js/

Public_html folder has the following items:
    Folder: cgi-bin
    Folder: fonts
    Folder: images
    Folder: js
    File: error_log

WordPress folder is in the root directory.
All the usual files are inside.

I appreciate any thoughts you might have.

    Thanks

Permissions are all set to 0644

I took everything out of the public/html folder except for the cgi, images, fonts, and js folders. I also left the error log there.

I uploaded for a 5th time to the root directory and wilmingtonfumc.org produces the following:

    Index of /

    cgi-bin/
    fonts/
    images/
    js/
    Apache/2.2.29 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.29 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_bwlimited/1.4 Server at wilmingtonfumc.org Port 80

Happy to try again, but I’ve done exactly that twice already. Could it be something else?

Success. And the Add-Ons menu item has appeared. Thanks for talking me off the cliff.

Tried it. No change. Resorting to an old fashioned theme update…ftp drag and drop/overwrite, etc. Should know in a moment if everything updates properly and everyone plays nice in the 4.1 environment.

Just for grins…Here’s a link to an image of the menu: https://theme.co/media/x_support/kb-product-validation-7.png
