The template tag will simply display the rating for the current post. You would need to integrate it into the widget code, or create your own widget that utilizes the template tag.

There is no “automatic override” in the plugin. Is turning off the automatic stars in the plugin options not working for you?

I’m not sure what you mean by “it’s not overriding the plugin”. What exactly is this “override” that you are referring to?

Since it’s been over a week with no response from you, I’ll assume that the issue was indeed a conflict with your theme or a third-party plugin, and the issue is now resolved. Marking as “Resolved”.

Can you provide some more information about the problem? What exactly is happening instead? Have you tried disabling all of your other plugins and switching to the default theme in order to rule out a conflict with third-party code?

Sounds like you need to add a unique CSS class or ID to your image map, and target that in your CSS file.

The ratings are stored as the custom field “_pn_apr_rating”, so you could use a plugin such as Custom Field Bulk Editor to update all of your posts in one bulk operation.
