I also had the same problem (blank pages for WPG2-options). I solved the problem by adding a line in the .htaccess file in the root directory of my WordPress installation.

This line forces the use of PHP5 instead of PHP4 (well-known problem for an 1and1 hosting).

#Force PHP5 at 1and1
AddType x-mapp-php5 .php

I’m not sure that this will be the right solution for you.

I fixed my problem by deactivating another plugin (Mollom) i recently installed (almost at the same time as the new versions of WP and NGG) and everything is working properly again.

I also have the same problem: i get no error, but also no thumbnails; i do get a thumbs folder.

I have different installations: the one that is giving troubles is one that has been updated from earlier versions of WP and NGG; a fresh installation (WP 2.7 and NGG 1.0.2) doesn’t give me any trouble.

Any idea?
