In reply to: [ANN] WP-ContactForm for WP V1.5Is it possible to include a visitor specified subject field to append the end of the admin’s preferred subject line?
For example, if I have the plugin configured with a subject of “[philpeeps.com] – contact form” there could be a subject field that the visitor enters to make the subject line read “[philpeeps.com] – contact form: Cool Site!”
The reason this would be helpful is that gmail groups emails with common subject lines as threads, so emails with the same subject line generated by this plugin, get grouped with unrelated threads of emails from other visitors.

In reply to: [ANN] Enhanced Views pluginThat would be perfect. A plugin to me is just adding files and activating, not dictating where the plugins have to be installed or even how many files have to be installed. The key thing is that core code is not changed. If you can do that, GO FOR IT! ??

In reply to: Coppermine Plugintexx, I know the origianl code wasn’t yours, but it it possible to limit this to like 10 or 20 random images from a gallery? If not, no biggie, I will just have to take a closer look at coppermine fetch because I know it will do this, just a bit more complicated to get it in a post…

In reply to: Built-in text editor adds extra line breaks on saveOk…so it is just an annoying idiosyncrasy that cannot be fixed? Sometimes when making a quick change it is nice to use the built in editors, but then it makes clean up a pain when I finally open the files in a regular text editor after several edits from WordPress….

In reply to: The Google thing – not discussed here?! [CLOSED]Where was the outrage when this issue first surfced. It was pretty apparent what the intent was when it arose the first time…sure the thread was closed, but not deleted. If it was THAT big of an issue, this would have happened then.
It only happens because someone posts something that shows up in the dashboard and people come out the woodworks to jump on a soapbox.
If you REALLY cared about the community, you would have been spending some time here, seen the original thread, and caused an uproar then.

In reply to: Commenting on static pagesi dont understand why you do not use the pages feature instead. Is there something on those pages that cannot be included on a wordpress page template?
A link would help so we can see what you are trying to include on this page, but AFAIK, you can include any php you need on a page template, have a loop looking for the page and comments and be done with it…

I am using a static page with comments on my “about” page on my site with no problems.
