  • Okay, I misread the port number. Once I added the correct port for MySQL it seems to be running.

Why no error output for something so basic?

I’m having the same problem just running the install program, and index.php does the same thing. No error of any kind, just a blank <html><body></body></html> as the page source.

The configuration is too simple to have messed up. The only non-standard aspect is MySQL is not on the default port. But I added localhost:port# to the config file.

    I’m having the same issue.

I’ve created the database and assigned all permissions to a user and edited the wp-config file with the pertainent info.

I ran the install.php program, it runs along for a few minutes (waiting for… then… done) I see a blank page with an empty document (<html><body></body></html>).

I’ve looked in the database and no tables have been created.

I have PHP displaying all errors and when I put a my own php files in the WordPress directory they run and display errors. I’ve tried running /wordpress/index.php, but the same issue: no output.

I am using WordPress 2.3.3 running on Windows 2000 Advanced Server/IIS 5.0 with PHP 5.x and MySQL 5.4(?).

    Thanks
