In reply to: [Wordpress PDF Light Viewer Plugin] Hyperlink not workingHeya Anton,
I hear you loud and clear.
Thank you for taking the time to answer this question.
It’s just that I want to know if I made a mistake, or that it is just not possible at this point in time.
I am not asking for miracles, just a clear answer to my question above.
Above all, I truly hope that ‘we’ (humankind) can learn to live together and respect each other as fellow human beings. —> I don’t seek a political debate.
Adventurous greetings, Coen.yes, so… After deactivating the ROP plugin, there are still posts on my FB page by: Published by?Revive Social
Mindboggeling!
So can someone please take me seriously and read the fist post about when I moved to a new hosting provider and it all started from there.
I think some old cron job still is lingering somewhere.
Where can I see those cronjobs, and delete old stuff?Adventurous greetings, Coen.
Hello Andreea,
I could try and enable debug mode, but I see absolutely no point in that. As when the sharing is on, this actually works as normal.
But if you will read carefully in my problem description, I suspect something ‘old’ is still lingering in the system from when I changed hosting provider.
To eliminate problems, I now deactivated the ROP plugin, and I want to see if posting to my FB page is still occurring after that.
So lets see in a few days and take it from there?
Okay?Any updates on this?
Hmm.
Thank you for replying…
I understand you trying to replicate it and it just works.
As I think this will have a very different cause.
Currently I have stopped sharing [since Februari 13th], and yet, somehow magically my FB page is posted twice every day by Revive Social.
I have screenshots if you like…Adventurous greetings, Coen.
Okay, I am back behind a stable computer and not hiking for the time being.
I want this thing to be fixed once and for all.
Please can someone assist me by reading carefully before replying.
And please bare in mind that this whole issue started when we moved hosting services. So my guess is that it has something to do with that, but I have no clue whatsoever how to find the solution.
I have ROP setup now to share twice a day to my FB page and my Twitter page.
The posts that are being shared have “FLASHBACK” label before the title.
I recently set up my Twitter again and the ROP posts are sharing nicely twice a day with the included FLASHBACK label in front of the title.
But to my continued horror. I can’t get my FB page to behave the same way.
Yes the FLASHBACK labeled posts are sharing twice a day. But also twice a day there are posts being shared to my FB page without the FLASHBACK label.
On FB all these posts are tagged (when I am logged into my FB page) with: Published by?Revive Social
So still 4 times a day ROP posts are shared to FB, yet on my SHARING LOGS: I see only 2 to FB and 2 to Twiter. As should be.
Now I have stated before that this all started when we moved our WP to another hosting.
So my guess is that is has to do with that, the the old sharing cue never has been stopped and just goes on forever, and I have no way of knowing where the stop button is for that old cue.
Can someone please guide me how to get this fixed?here a images on Imgur with the plugin settings (on Iphone) where you can see I stopped sharing on 25th of August.
You can see it being the last one showing the “FLASHBACK” label.
But you can see the dates afterwards, somehow there is an old plugin days, still sharing posts.
How can I kill that action?
Link to FB page where this can be seen happening:
I am currently hiking 850kms in Armenia with little internet.
before I left, I stopped the plugin from posting. And still something is posting every day on my FB page.
I have the feeling that an old version of the plugin is still posting. Maybe I deleted and installed the plugin again at one point in time?
I will try to post screenshots from my phone here. From both the plugin page, where it is off and the FB page postings.
Heya @bradvin
I am not aware of any slugs being used called ‘gallery’ in pages nor posts.
Everything was fine and dandy before and I just needed to update the album with a few more galleries.
So I really don’t understand why it is broken all of a sudden.
Now I changed the gallery link format to Querystring as you suggested… And poef… All is great again…
The question remains, why did it happen in the first place?
And now I need to review all my albums …. ??
Thanks for you input anyways -> help is much appreciated.
Heya Brad,
Thank you for poking around. I indeed have the Shortpixel plugin that compresses my images and has an option to build WebP images and also another option to automatically replace the IMG tags to PICTURE tags.
I now disabled both options.
I’m not sure how to check if that has effect or not, as I see no change in my album layout.
Also, why are those first three images on the top row perfectly as it should and the rest isn’t?
The update didn’t solve this issue.
Please advice me.
Not sure the latest plugin update has something so help:
Fix : Added custom CSS for 3 gallery templates, to avoid incorrect thumb widths with certain themes and SVG thumbnails.
Dear Elvis,
No.
I am not talking about the white borders.
I am talking about the image thumbnail inside those borders. That image for the first 3 on the top row are perfect. Now in all the others (so not on the top row) the thumbnail itself is squished.
Please have a look again at my screenshot here: https://prnt.sc/1t3cy01
And pay a bit more attention to the man that is portraid here. On the right side is how it should look like (this is the gallery view) and on the left is the same man, but now he lost a lot of weight! (this is in the album view).
Now, can we agree on the thumbnails begin distorted in album view (apart from the top row)?
Adventurous greetings, Coen.
Hi Elvis,
Thank you for your new screenshot. And yes on your screenshot, clearly the images ARE distorted.
Please have a look at my screenshot of the Thumbnail of the Bhutan gallery, next to the (correct) thumbnail on the actual gallery here: https://prnt.sc/1t3cy01
Now can we agree on it being distorted before moving on to the solutions?
Adventurous greetings, Coen.
