I’ve tried the two latest updates and while they do bring the video in to the listing, the thumbnail is not showing at all. An “error” image shows there, so it’s still not working.
Hello –
Yes, we have verified the website for Pinterest, etc. We actually started using your plug in because an old plug in wasn’t working correctly, in that it was posting totally erroneous prices to Pinterest.
Every product of ours that has a variable price, is showing the highest price, and not the lowest, after being pinned to Pinterest.
Here are some links to the product on our website and the matching Pinterest link:

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Search in admin area doesn’t work correctlyHi Sven –
Sorry for the “tone” but seriously? After three weeks now, am I supposed to be “happy and cheerful” about the “support” that Woo Commerce has offered?
In response to your numbers above:
#1 – If someone has thousands of products, on a Woo Commerce site, they are basically SOL if they want to try and find a product. Products can’t be found on my site, that only has 700 products.
#2 & #3 – Again, you are wrong. The search functionality does NOT work the same on this website of mine. If you search on the main website, and search for ‘Night Light’, the 5 Lights show up FIRST. Then other extraneous listings show after that. If you search in the admin area, 25 OTHER products show first, with the 5 Night Lights on the 2nd page.
Also, you guys keep showing me how to search on the main website. That is NOT the problem here. The problem is within the Woo Commerce area, INSIDE the theme. So, to keep on giving examples of how search works on the actual website, is a waste of time.
#4 Solution – I did try the quote marks, and that did work within the admin area. That being said, it took THREE WEEKS, and how many support reps, for someone to provide that solution?
While the quote marks do work, I have never used that or seen that happen INSIDE of a website. Using quote marks like that was an old school search thing used on search engines (back in the day.)
Also, Woo Commerce does NOT work the same with searches in the admin area, as WordPress does, as I have clearly shown on this ticket. I have another WordPress Blog, that does NOT have Woo Commerce on it, and if I search for anything in the admin area, it returns exact search results.
So, there IS a problem with the search functionality with Woo Commerce in the admin area.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Search in admin area doesn’t work correctlyI opened this post over two weeks ago.
It has now been over three days since I shared staging credentials with Woo Commerce and no one has responded yet.
Instead, Saif, who has been confused about this issue, and who provided ridiculous answers before, has answered the thread AGAIN.
Saif – apparently you don’t work in the “real,” practical world, since once again, the explanations you have provided make no sense whatsoever.
#1 – If I need to remove a product from stock, or change a products price, then OBVIOUSLY I KNOW THE PRODUCTS NAME. Why would I search for “some word” I might have written within the post/listing itself, to find the product?! This happens to no one, ever.
#2 – You wrote in a previous response: “Also note, this is not how WooCommerce works but rather posts in WordPress.” Again, you are wrong. If I search within a WordPress site, I get correct search results. Woo Commerce, which is built on WordPress Architecture, SHOULD work the same, and it does work better, on other websites of mine, but NOT this one.
#3 – Searches, in general, and indexing, are prioritized by on-page SEO (i.e., Title Tags, how high in priority, an element is, on a page.) This means that when I search for the TITLE of an item, that TITLE, since it is in an H1 tag, should be returned FIRST, in the search results. Page TITLE is the HIGHEST PRIORITY for searches. Random words, sprinkled into descriptions, do not score a higher return rate. Also, part of a word, that is encapsulated into another word (i.e., the word “light” in “enlightenment” shouldn’t be returned as a result, at all.) If it is returned as a search result, then that is just bad programming on Woo’s part.
While it’s wonderful that you FINALLY figured out to do a test search, in an actual admin area (instead of the web page itself, as you previously had done), your results are NOT what is happening on my website, which is why I opened this ticket over two weeks ago, and why I provided Woo Commerce with admin access to a staging site, as they requested.
If you, or anyone from Woo, ever took the time to actually go into that staging area, you would see that if you search for “Night Light” there, it returns 25 extraneous products, that DO NOT have the word “Night” or “Light” in the titles. The five actual products, that DO HAVE the word “Night Light” in the H1 tag of the title, show up on page 2, after 25 products that have the “night” somewhere in the body of the description.
This is a Woo Commerce search problem that needs to be resolved. I really don’t have the time to keep reading these ridiculous attempts at solutions, that you are providing, because they aren’t solutions at all.

Tick Tock…Tick Tock…
As usual, Woo Commerce isn’t offering any sort of “real” help.

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Multiple problems with Woo to FB Plug inI am really at my wit’s end with Woo Commerce support (or rather the lack of it.)
I opened this ticket here over 2 weeks ago, and no one provided any help, after it was moved over to Woo Support.
I have been emailing back and forth with a “JR (Automattic)”, this week, who I thought was finally going to offer some support.
In the past 2 weeks, I have written LONG emails, provided screen shots of both my website and FB Catalog, that show EXACTLY how the Woo to FB plug in is NOT WORKING.
After sending JR a LONG email response yesterday, (my third long response of the week), even showing NEW PROBLEMS with this same plug in, he writes me back asking for erroneous info, and MORE screen shots, so I don’t think he’s even reading the emails anymore.
If I am/have been corresponding with a “tech support” team all along, then sorry, but no one at Woo seems to be very technical at all, since no one seems to know what is going on and no one has fixed anything or done anything yet!
This Woo to FB plug in does NOT work with variable listings. The FB Catalog will show variable images, as the main image, and the only work-around (that I figured out for myself), is that you have to have variable images set to “show featured image” for the FB sync. That is the ONLY way to get the correct MAIN image to show, on FB, for a variable product.
THEN, this plug in doesn’t even sync prices correctly, for variable listings. I have provided dozens of screen shots, showing this issue, and all JR keeps asking for, is more screen shots!
At this point in time, someone from Woo is going to have to schedule a phone call with me, where we can share screens, and I can VISUALLY show someone, what is going on, since no “tech” person seems to understand what a variable listing is, and how it should work, despite me sending dozens and dozens of screen shots to them.
I really do NOT have the time to keep going back and forth with this nonsense. If I have to answer one more email, with the same info I have already sent to Woo repeatedly, I will just create a blog post, where I can post all these ridiculous conversations I’ve had with Woo “support”, and I will upload ALL the screenshots I have already shared with Woo, that no one seems to understand, to that blog post as well. My screen shots CLEARLY show what the problems are, and will make Woo look ridiculous for not handling this in a better or more expeditious manner.
I have three different websites that use this plug in, and the plug in doesn’t work correctly on any of the websites. This website is the worst of the three, and I have provided ample documentation to Woo, SHOWING them what is happening, to no end. It just wastes more of my time.

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Multiple problems with Woo to FB Plug inHi again @johndcoy
Yes, Josh has written back, and I have to answer him, but the 4-5 Woo people who wasted my time for an entire week, didn’t help at all. No one provided any help or solutions, when I moved these issues over to Woo, but instead I got a lecture on how I should appreciate them being there to help! So what was the point of sending the issues over to Woo in the first place, if no one ever provided any help or support?
By the time Josh had written me back, I had already figured out a work-around for the issue with variations not showing, which someone at Woo could have told me about, had anyone ever proactively looked into the issues I sent over. Woo had admin access to my site, yet they kept asking for screen shots for things I had already provided to them. Woo support has been non-existent, for all the problems I originally mentioned above, until Josh wrote me, 2 weeks later.
What IS a consistent with this Plug in, is it does NOT work with variations at all. It also doesn’t show correct pricing on variable listings either. This has been a problem from day one, that has never been fixed yet.
So while the plug in DOES move our products over to Facebook, the information that shows there isn’t correct (i.e., wrong photos showing in variable listings, wrong prices showing in variable listings, etc.) What’s even more fun is those prices and images can fluidly change!
We don’t sell on either FB or IG, but started using this plug in so we could have shoppable posts showing on IG. If I was going to sell on FB or IG, I couldn’t use this plug in, because it doesn’t push correct info over, or Facebook isn’t showing the correct info. In either case, this is something you guys need to fix, within your plug in, or get Facebook to fix on their end, so what shows is correct, in our FB Catalogs.
Thanks for reaching out.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Search in admin area doesn’t work correctlyHi @johndcoy
I remember your name too!
I don’t know why duplicating a product would harm/throw off a basic search result?!
The erroneous products that DO show up in a search, weren’t created from the products I am searching for. Like, if I create a new Night Light, I will use an older listing to duplicate and use. I don’t duplicate an entirely different product, to create a new listing.
It makes sense to duplicate products if the listing is basically the same.
I already sent login info for the staging site to the Woo Team, so hopefully someone can check it out.
Thanks for responding here.

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Multiple problems with Woo to FB Plug inHi Sunday –
I opened this ticket over two weeks ago, and brought it over to Woo Support over a week ago. NO ONE at Woo Commerce sent any sort of helpful answer until this past Sunday, when I heard from a Tech based out of Wisconsin. The ONLY “support” anyone else said was resync or delete and resync, which didn’t help or couldn’t be done, based on my detailed explanation above.
No one at Woo did any “trouble-shooting” whatsoever, on these MULTIPLE issues, over the past two weeks.
What Woo Commerce wants to do, is move the issue off this forum, so other customers can’t see how poorly handled Woo Commerce “support” really is.
I run multiple businesses and yes, issues need to be resolved in much less than 2 weeks time. This isn’t possible though, when Woo Commerce “Tech Support” doesn’t know how to fix anything technical. Telling customers to “Delete and Resync” is NOT a technical solution.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Search in admin area doesn’t work correctlyThanks I will do that, but I have no high hopes since “support” over at Woo Commerce is sorely lacking.

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Multiple problems with Woo to FB Plug inHi Igor –
They have responded already, with the same generic answers I got on here. Like delete the catalog and resync, which I can’t do because of shoppable post links.
I still have 18 items that were DELETED off my website, last week, that are still showing live on FB.
I still have brand new variable products showing incorrect photos and prices, and I still have brand new variable products that aren’t even syncing over.
This plug in isn’t working properly at all, and so far, all Woo can say is delete and resync, or reset FB data, ALL of which just delete the catalog, which I don’t want to do.
I’ve also asked for you to step back in on a different Woo Commerce search thread that I still have open, since even basic searching in the Woo Commerce admin area isn’t working properly, and the most recent person who answered that thread, doesn’t even seem to understand what is going on.

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Multiple problems with Woo to FB Plug inI opened this detailed support request 5 days ago.
Per Woo instructions, I opened the support ticket on the Woo website, gave Woo admin access to my website, and am still getting the runaround and generic “solutions” from them.
Every single one of the issues listed here, is still happening, and Woo isn’t making any concerted effort to help resolve these issues.
They just want this problem off the WordPress forum, so others can’t see how poorly this is being handled.
This plug in obviously doesn’t work properly, yet Woo isn’t doing anything to fix or resolve the issues.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Search in admin area doesn’t work correctlyHi again Saif –
Again, I don’t think you are understanding the problem.
What you said here, makes absolutely no sense at all, nor does it pertain to this problem:
Quote: “I was trying to suggest a solution that allows you to pinpoint the product you’re looking for so you can edit it by changing the URL with the product ID. Exporting the product page with the Title and ID will allow you to look for the product ID really fast using the title only just like you wanted it to be.”
If I need to make a CHANGE to ONE PRODUCT, why would I do what you suggested above?! Makes no sense.
Then you say this: “Now that’s out of the way, I went ahead and searched for the Night light keyword on your site and this is what I found: https://snipboard.io/qxMr7V.jpg”
You are performing a search ON MY WEBSITE, which is NOT THE ISSUE here, so this “answer” does not help the problem.
I also shouldn’t have to have someone create a “custom” search for my site, since “Searching” is a pretty basic concept, that should work correctly.
Two other people answered this post originally, telling me to change back to a basic theme, and remove all plug ins. They said the search would work properly then, but it didn’t.
I would like either Igor or Pepe to respond to this thread again, because this going back and forth with you, isn’t helping.
Thanks.
