I’m hosted on UK2.net and having the same issues, this is not just a mediatemple problem! Would love any help or other ways to solve the issue. I can verify that MYSQL is up to date!

Many thanks to the posters who gave me the confidence to upgrade my phoro restoration blog. It went 2.3.3 to 2.5 to 2.7 to auto upgrade to 2.9, now all I have to do is change to 2 columns to allow my photo restoration video tutorials to fit in. Thanks again.

Thanks, I have now upgraded to 2.5 so I am getting there

I have a similar but different issue, I changed my permalink from

/index.php/%postname%/ to /%postname%/ and now in Google webmaster tools it tells me I have 52 duplicate title tags and lists all of my blog pages twice, each url is duplicated in the new permalink style as well as the old one. In my experience this can upset the placement of your site by not being all cuddly with what Google wants. Has anyone else checked their Google account recently after changing their permalinks and do you have the same problem?

How to fix it that is the question?

Just tried this out too and all i get is a white screen and the word “Done” in split second down in the bottom left of my browser window. The process takes less than half a second. Nothing just white screen, any clues?

Hi everyone. It is still not happening for me. I have tried removing plug-ins, code out the login errors, commenting out the lines, no joy

Someone posted that it may be CHMOD issue on one of the many files. Has any one had this expereince ?

Why is this so hard, and why me!?

I am concerned that if I get my host provider to clean out my database files (which they seem to not be doing despite me submitting many tickets) that I will lose my no. 1 Google rank for blog “photo restoration blog”.

I have read this post with interest. I have tired everything here also. I installed to 2.3.2 uploaded a blog and everything was fine for a few days. I copied over the security patch file only of 2.3.3 and again everything fine, then BAM! cookie trouble as everyone here is posting. I have tried the commenting out, removing excess space/blank lines etc. and no joy. I am with UK2.Net and am completely prepared to set up again from scratch to get round this problem but I haven’t much of a clue about MySQL and they don’t have Cpanel to remove/delete my database files.
