thanks for your example – we experimented a bit and did some tests – but we did not succeed in our test environment and we couldn’t find any documentation with solving tips. Maybe it’s something to do with our testsystem .
you can see the code in the osm file, it is commented out. maybe it works for you….

we could not reproduce it, we get this error msg when we use exactly your shortcode:

[OSM-Plugin-Error]:[OL3_createMarkerList]: No posts/pages with geotag found!

[OSM-Plugin-Error]:CustomFieldName: OSM_geo_data

[OSM-Plugin-Error]:tagged_type: post

[OSM-Plugin-Error]:tagged_filter_type: category

[OSM-Plugin-Error]:tagged_filter: xyz

Where tagged_filter ist the category.

And the map is shown empty.

Can you post the detailed error message you get.
