In reply to: Admin stolen? Install security risk?[personal attack removed – spencerp]
If he left WP uploaded with wp-config.php intact with his MySQL details then yes they could install it.
But you would assume that due to the fact PHP/MySQL wasnt enabled that he would have these setup.
Guess i was wrong.

In reply to: Admin stolen? Install security risk?Nothing was STOLEN as you never installed WP in the first place.
If you left WP uploaded to you webspace without it already being installed that is your own fault. It is not a security bug that you left your website with a uninstalled script.
But saying that, its not a major issuse just drop the DB and start again but make sure you at least install the script before you go to bed this time
*edit* Btw how did he managed to install WP, he would need to know your MySQL details…

In reply to: error?it cant find the wp-config.php file, have you ever had WordPress installed and working?
It should be in the directory up from the WP-ADMIN folder, check its there!
If its a new install there is never the config file there by default, but there is a wp-config-sample.php file which you can use by editing it and renaming.
And just a quick note for the future, if you wish to get help try posting whats wrong and the URL if possible – dont just copy and paste the PHP errors. You will find you get a lot more help with the more info about the problem.

In reply to: Newsletter pluginDgold: No theres no unsubscribe ?? its basicly been created for us to use at work when emailing dealers and stuff.
You just feed it HTML and Plain Text emails, bung it some email list and away it goes ??
Its possible to set custom vars for use in the email it self, so when your entering a email you would format each on a new line like this:
there name:[email protected]:customVar=value&2ndCustom=value
So then when your editing your email you could then call these standard ones:
:name:
:email:and of course all the custom ones you have set
:customVar:
:2ndCustom:And they would be replaced within the email sent out, also all HTML emails are tracked up untill there first opened.
I dont think ill ever release it as its really buggy and just enough for us to use for work stuff.
Best bit was when i was testing it and got in a loop :S ended mail bombing myself! My hosting was not please 20,000 emails within 2mins!!

In reply to: Using the “image upload” option.Depends on how the theme does this, have a look in both the style.css and attachment.php file in you themes folder

In reply to: should i share my gallery plugin?I still like the way ive done my images on the new mEm site, using the inline upload you can of course send them to the editor like normal but they are linked via Lightbox2 ?? like so
https://www.mem-gaming.co.uk/v2/index.php/cs-japan-namco-csneo/
Or you can ince again use inline upload and flag the post as showing attached files and then it will display them at the end of the post again via lightbox2
https://www.mem-gaming.co.uk/v2/index.php/category/cal-europe
You can even do both – and they will all link together with no duplicates ??
