Thank you for your offer. As there were a couple of issues, I tried another solution, which worked with images and multiple tables, so I abandoned this plugin – sorry! It is a shame as it did look like it would do all I wanted!

Thank you for the guidance. I did try the suggestions, but it seems it won’t allow multiple tables (I had no problem with one table).

I have therefore tried another route to resolve this.

I have just tried something – which I need to test further, but may be a solution.
If I go into the page that wasn’t displaying, and update that page, it now seems to be displaying as it should.

Any ideas what went wrong, so I can try to avoid this problem in future?!

No. I have recreated the process several times, changing something to ensure it does save the permalinks, and each time, there is confirmation it has been saved; no reference to creating a file manually, and then no .htaccess file.
Is it worth my copying the old .htaccess file here?

The .htaccess file was visible naturally before, but I have forced the show hidden files, and there is no difference. No .htaccess ??

I saved the permalinks, but there is no .htaccess file. Could it be located in more than one place? I am looking under “/clickandbuilds/Test”, which has the wp-login.php file.

At the top of the page it says the settings have been saved – but I went to a higher level directory and returned to ensure I had a directory refresh.

Sorry about the delay. Sadly, having renamed the .htaccess file to old.htaccess, it seems that now the pages that weren’t displaying, but had the theme, now just show a blank page – with no error or theme! Should I rename the file back again?
Any other clues – sorry to be such a pain!

The site is hosted by a professional ISP. From that, I guess the .htaccess file will be on the server. Is that something that I will be able to ftp into and see?

Ah, thank you both for your help. I just did a search of my hard drive which came back without a hit – but then again I use Ubuntu – I will search online for clues meanwhile for its location!
