I can’t seem to access my administrator account with google search console.
I have to go out for a couple hours, maybe when I get back it is ok, Gosh I hope so. My site comes up in searches and my site loads fine. I just get all questions marks when I run the page speed audit.

In reply to: Home and Front page defaulting to blog?Gerry, on your last post, I understand and follow you well. It appears that if I leave the front page template out of the mix (don’t add that template, or remove it respecitvely) the static page reappears out of thin air. Something appears to be wrong, maybe a bug in my setup?
If I disable the front page template entirely, as I am saying, the static page reappears. This is weird! I’d like to fix it for the future when things might get worse?

In reply to: Home and Front page defaulting to blog?I want to add something here: I’m a retired technologist and did study some programming decades ago, but I’ve forgotten all of that. I just want you to know this is not some idiot, you never said that, but you might be thinking it. Something isn’t right here.
I want my front page template to not default to the blog content, but to my actual static page. And the home template show blank in the middle content window.

In reply to: Home and Front page defaulting to blog?Ok, so when I choose that edit template option, it reverts back to the blog content on the page. How do I replace all of that with the page content that IS my proper front page, the static page?

In reply to: Home and Front page defaulting to blog?On the left side bar there is settings, but under settings there is no Page or template option, as I was saying earlier. I hope I’m not frustrating you, I think there is a bug maybe in this.
