Hi Michael… after almost 8 hours I finally got the theme up and running… mostly. Now I’m just trying to figure out how to manipulate it to what I really want. I’m used to Blogger and that was just so easy. This has been a huge challenge.

Michael, thanks for the quick response. I read through those links but am not able to find where I change the file permissions as you’ve suggested. I open the theme folder and don’t see where I can do this. I don’t mean to be dense, but I really need idiot-proof directions.

OK. I got the ftp up and running through my host. Got the files where they should be. How do I get WordPress to recognize them now? I am still only seeing the default themes on the presentation page. I tried to refresh the page but that doesn’t seem to do it.

Ok, here’s the problem: I don’t know how to use Filezilla. I just killed the last 30 minutes trying to connect with a host. What host? What server am I supposed to connect with? The last ftp server I used (through my last job) operated very differently from this. I can’t figure this out and it seems to be getting more and more complicated. I just want to upload this new theme for my blog.

Please help.
