I figured it out. I had to pull it from the wp_terms table.

I am having the same problem:

wp_tag_cloud(‘smallest=8&number=40&exclude=230’)

230 is the tag_id from the wp_tags table. That is where I get the number from, right? But it’s not working. I can change all other parameters except exclude.

I am losing my mind on this one.

I turned off all my plugins and turned them all on one-by-one and it turns out it was the Slickr Gallery plugin causing the problem. ??

Sheesh. I am sorry. I was just curious to know the people that had it working. Perhaps they knew something we didn’t. Just trying to be helpful.

I get about 75/1435 in to it. I’ve tried it about 5 different times. Also it never fails on the same block.

Also using 2.1.1. And I checked my Server Loads and they were below 5 at the time of starting it and after I hit submit.

Turns out it was actually the Mint Bird Feed WordPress plugin causing this mess.
