thank you for your fast reply. it actually was the wp external links plugin that caused the issue. the solution you provided helped perfectly to solve the problem!

so now i have looked once again into the polylang settings/URL modifications and checked ?the front page URL contains the language code instead of the page name“. then i reloaded the german homepage and chose the english flag in the language switcher and a blank page came up (url: https://www.mywebsitetitle.de/en/startseite-english/ . i then took a look into the german homepage and recognized that in the right column the english and french page translations were defined. obviously, by editing the polylang settings, polylang got active and created the default homepage translation pages. i just had to enter the page content and now the homepages are accessible for all three languages ??

this is a good approach, but shortcodes like they are added in your recommended link cannot be inserted into a nav block, as far as i know.
the archive page link that should only show when there are post with the corresponding category should be part of the nav block element.

yes. i searched for the font “inter regular” on my computer. i found one instance which is a symbol font and deactivated it. this font must have been in a conflict with another “inter regular” text font. now the site body text displays correctly.

danke für die hilfe. beim durchsehen der logs fiel mir auf, dass die mails nach dem opt-in als spam markiert waren und ?Multiple Submission Protection“ im titel hatten. ich habe daher in den forge12-settings im reiter ?contact form 7“ die checkbox für ?multiple submission protection“ ausgeschaltet – und b?m: die benachrichtigung eines erfolgten opt-in kam an!
kann es sein, dass durch meine zahlreichen formular-tests die multiple submission protection wirksam wurde und die anmeldungen von meiner ip-adresse aus nicht mehr durchliess? wenn ja, kann ich dann die multiple submisison protection wieder einschalten oder sollte ich sie lieber deaktiviert lassen?

ich glaube, hier liegt ein misverst?ndnis vor: ich habe hcaptcha nach deiner ersten nachricht deinstalliert und an dessen stelle das forge12-captcha plugin installiert und aktiviert.
in der forge12-dokumentation zum plugin wird nur davon geschrieben, dass für das captcha lediglich einstellungen im plugin vorgenommen werden müssen; ich vermute aber, dass auch im cf7-formular selbst ein feld eingefügt werden muss, damit das formular funktioniert und nach dem opt-in eine benachrichtigung erfolgreich verschickt. daher meine frage: muss ich im cf7-formular noch etwas einstellen, und wenn ja, was?

ich erhalte aber trotzdem nach anklicken des opt-in buttons im best?tigungsmail keine benachrichtigung. muss ich in cf7 noch einstellungen vornehmen?

ich habe das selbe problem wie dirk –?und ich bekomme auf dieser seite mit aktiviertem double opt-in plugin auch nach best?tigung des opt-ins keine benachrichtigung.
das formular hat hcaptcha eingebunden. wenn hcaptcha deaktiviert ist, bekomme ich die benachrichtigung.
gibt es eine m?glichkeit, sowohl hcatcha als auch das forge 12 double opt-in zu nutzen?

@orangechris, i set the line ?powered by url“ to display:none; in CSS and the line is no more visible for site visitors. ??

hi there,
same bug here. i am using the most recent plugin version together with the most recent wp install. i got rid of the warning by going into mec/settings/general and unchecking the very last checkbox “display powered by URL”.

hi kathryn, i looked into the plugin you posted the link to – the problem with this is that you have to edit the code (as in non-block themes) to add a class to the featured image. so this leads back to my original question –?how to edit the code of the twenty twenty-two theme?
