  • Thanks! I will check this out.

I assume you went over this 1000 times https://code.tutsplus.com/articles/configuring-w3-total-cache-advanced-minification-settings–wp-31043

I see many people complaining about this …

    Check this article https://www.digitalreborn.com/minify-wordpress-html-javascripts-css-w3-total-cache/

Me personally didn’t add this plugin as it was not yet tested with my WP version.

I was trying several plugins and none of them seems to be working for my site. I start thinking that may be there are common permission issues.
@iamonlythird could it be ? any ideas what libraries/files to be checked ?

    Same as for me.
… Spent so much time on the web trying to resolve this thing but nothing so far!!

It seems that none of the minification features are working nor affecting my pages.

    1. Checking the page sources it looks that both JS and CSS are transmitted as is with no minifications.

    2. in the “embed type” none of the options are affecting the page.
I used “defer” to eliminate JS render blocking and cant see string “defer” at the page source”

    3. In the “JS file management” i tried to embed few scripts but this function seems to be not working as well.

    General information:
    1. No other Cache plugins are installed
    2. Both GTmetrix and PageSpeed declare the same:
    a. Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content
    b. Minify CSS
    2. No info in the debug section

<!-- W3 Total Cache: Minify debug info:
    Engine: disk
    Theme: 86312
    Template: index
    -->

    3. ALWAYS getting the following error in the plugin page:
“Recently an error occurred while creating the CSS / JS minify cache: A group configuration for “include-footer” was not set.”
    4. compatibility check looks like this:

    Hey 3spacellc,

EXACTLY the same happened to me.
After i cloned my site to another hosting provider i got exactly the same symptoms you’ve just described. Then, i tried one more hosting and extracted the same backup file (carrying my site) and most of the errors were gone.
even the gzip (HTTP compression) errors were gone.

i am still facing some errors that i had also before, even though W3 was configured correctly (i hope)

I have no clear conclusion but these are the results i got.
