Thank you very much jdembowski I will try to work on it now. I think the bad thing about using cpanel is that you need to put some of your files to writable (777) only to make it work,
It will surely be a long night for me now to check also my other site before they hit me again.

Any luck about this problem. It’s not really a file permission problem. all the people with same problem already doing this and yet the problem still there. Anyone?

Same problem as mine since upgrading to WP 2.5 and you’re right WPspider, I also been in this post over and over again, top in the google search. I only hoping that one day a smart guy from wp.org will answer this question technically, not just a no brainer solution of CHMOD, everybody knows that before they come here. I dont know its been a long time now, still no solution. Anyone? please any solution?

I have the same problem as rikkidegraz, start from WP 2.5 until WP 2.5.1, still the same problem. I already try all the solution on that topic but still it doesnt work for me. Any fix on that? Please help…

Try to add the text widget, then click save changes and now edit the text widget

I think I found a solution to this problem without changing your rewrite.php. My old permalink is PATHINFO “/index.php/%category%/%postname%/” what I did is I just use “Dean’s Permalink Migration” follow the instruction and change my permalink to Mod_rewrite (without index.php) /%category%/%postname%/.
And now everything is fine. No 404 error on all categories, archives, post and won’t hurt your pagerank.

Same here, I got this error. I just upgrade last night and check all my pages (i.e about me, contact) it all give me a 404 error.
But I don’t have problem with my post, archive, and even categories, it’s all works fine.
I try to deactivate all my plugins and even change my theme, but still the same problem. Please Help!!!!

Hi shawn, just wondering if you still experience now with slow connection and sometime database error in netfirms, because I’m also in netfirms and until now I got some database error once in a while. How’s your doing now?
