I guess the question means using this plugin in front-end in which the user is limited to the admin dashboard area.

This is a fragment of an old code – I have to remove it someday. Actually Author Chat is my one of my first plugins as an developer, so code could be very misleading in many parts.

now we have some clue, what could be wrong with it. I will try to look into it. This plugin is one of my first projects as an developer, so I need a lot time to analyze code from a scratch. I’m going to try and test it with Italian language, maybe this is a problem here. If I find it I will release plugin update for all users. Anyway, thank you very much for pointing me that bug.

that’s not telling me much I’m afraid… I have tried to reproduce that behavior/error at my localhost and external hosting server, without success – everything works just fine… Can you create some test account for me so I could look into it?

you can always use Author Chat in window – just check that option it settings page. It’s premium feature, but it let’s you to show chat in all admin pages.

maybe you could try with Author-Chat in window? If your authors are logged to admin area and browsing front end, there should see AC chat window everywhere.
