Have you tried to use it with other browser? Also it could be hosting limitation.

I must admit I forgot about image feature, it’s really good looking thing and works very well. You are right, I need to make that feature clear in the documentation… Thank you very much for your suggestions and opinion!

‘author is typing’ feature is deferentially a great idea, I’ll try to see what I can do with that in next update. About images – right now you can post images from external sources (just put link and image should be visible in conversation).

It’s very hard to create plugin without conflict with all other plugins from WordPress directory. With next update I’ll try to look into this problem and fix it.

Try to deactivate “Show chat window everywhere” option in AC settings.

double checked on few of my sites, and it works like a charm… maybe it crashes with some other plugin on your website? try to turn off other plugins one by one and test it’s working or not

Hmm, sounds like there is a conflict with some other plugin on your website. Have you tried to disable plugins one by one (with enabled Author Chat) to see which one cause that problem? Do you have some plugin that is responsible for rearranging places of dashboard menu boxes?

Checked couple times with 4.9.1 version, works totally normal like before. Do you have any errors or something?

Just checked this out and plugin works with WP 4.9 like before, no problems at all, also noone else reporting any problems with plugin on WP 4.9. Also can’t see any problem with WP 4.9 subtabs. It’s seems this is related only with yours WP 4.9 installation, maybe there is conflict with other plugin..

Thank you for your suggestions, in next couple weeks I’m going to release new version of Author Chat, so I’ll try to implement some of your requests ??

Yes, you need to follow my second answer. It’s pretty big modification, so you need to code some lines of code.
