Ah, I figured it out, in case anyone else ever needs to know:

../multimedia/mediaplayer/player.swf

I was wondering whether there is a way to have the path to the player point to a directory outside the WordPress installation. I have tried every variation I can think of, but it cannot find it. For example:

/www/www.mydomain.com/htdocs/multimedia/mediaplayer/player.swf

Where as my WordPress installation is at https://www.mydomain.com/content

I have tried every way I can think of to input the path, but it won’t find it no matter what…

Can someone advise what the right path or syntax would be to get it to work? Thanks!

I am also having the same problem, now that I am on 2.8.1 my media player is now replaced with a Get the Flash Player to see the wordTube Media Player link. Any ideas on what’s up or how to resolve?

Can you please tell me how you got Sidebar 2 to even show up on the widgets admin page? I can’t find any documentation on how to do that anywhere!!

I am also using GoDaddy and am getting this error. I did manually create the DB using GoDaddy’s admin panel before running the wordpress installation, and I get the error above. Any help?

right, managed to figure that out eventually, now my problem is that I don’t really see how this conditional code is supposed to match up or integrate with the existing code in there. Is it just supposed to replace it altogether? Right now there is no <div id=”sidebar”> in the sidebar.php, so I can’t find a reference point.

Me too! This is the last roadblock to being able to convert our existing site over to WP. It seems like such a logical thing to do: be able to control and administer which links appear on which pages. I’m going to check out the solution above, hopefully it can work for me too!

Ok… unfortunately I am not bright enough to figure out where I am supposed to place that code so it will work. Any hints?
