Sorry, not a solution, but I’m having this problem too. One of my author users is getting the same message (“You are not allowed to edit posts as this user.”)
I have an author account for testing and the message appears after about a minute (seems to be when it does an auto save). But I can make changes and see them on the site. I’m waiting to see if my user can make changes.
I’ve just upgraded to version 2.6.3 but was also seeing it in 2.6.2 .
Any insights would be great! Thanks!
