Hi there – I have this plugin installed and working to the point where PayPal payments are being processed. But my site is not being updated after a payment goes thru (transaction info not being added to database or interface). I can see the info in PayPal but not in my site, and it’s very important that the site reflect the most current info (it’s for a donation campaign). Could you please help me resolve? I’d be happy to provide you with site login details if you’d like.

    Thanks!

Have you done the following ?

Turn on Instant Payment Notification in PayPal and add your URL to your PayPal Profile IPN settings.

I have, it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I spoke with PayPal and they are saying that the paypal.php file should be writeable and viewable in the browser, so I thought maybe this was a permissions issue. So I tried opening up permissions, but this doesn’t seem to change things either, and I still can’t browse to the file.

Aaron you said there is no info from the donations in your database etc.
I can see the donations along with the donars name and comments.

So what exactly is missing ?
Can you please be more specific ?

From your site you have the wall widget and it matches your Donate Extra admin page info .

    P.S make paypal.php with chmod 644 which is :

    read by owner
    write by owner
    read by group
    read by others

Thanks for taking a look, Justine.

The plugin interface on my site shows six transactions so far, three of which are missing the user’s name along with the transaction.

However, my PayPal account shows eleven successful transactions, most of which have not been recorded back to my website.

That’s the issue I’m running into. How do I resolve? I’d be happy to provide PayPal login off board, if it helps.

Ok Aaron email me then please and i’ll lok just now.

I can see three transactions where the url was left blank which causes no comments to be passed on , and the sites url has been placed in the name field. The values show $25 USD .
That would cause an issue, thats why at the moment the plugin auto fills the url field with your sites URL to stop commants being lost. It gives the donar the option to change it to theirs if they are not happy.

That explains one part of it (I’d rather remove the URL option altogether, if possible), but there are transactions that are missing from my site that are present in PayPal and I’m not sure why this is occurring.

Anyone else come across this issue and figure out how to resolve? Help is appreciated!

    @ saxonycreative

Try this and it will fix your Donate Extra form widget .

To make the slider and recurring options change when using both the shortcode and a widget for the Donate Extra form set the following option in the Donate Extra settings to SideBar , Donation/Recognition Wall Location .

And the slider and options for recurring values will work on both.

    Hope this helps

I’m not sure I understand – are you saying that I should set my Donation/Recognition Wall Location settings to Sidebar? That’s how I’ve always had it.

THe most recent donations have posted back to my site, btw. Maybe a fix in one of the most recent updates resolved the issue? I’ll keep an eye on it. Thanks!

Never mind on the resolved – the response back to my site is still inconsistent. About every 3rd donation is not posted back to my site. I thought it could be a firewall issue, but I’ve manually whitelisted the PayPal IP so all should be good. Stumped.
