Unfortunaely we do not have access to the meta tags here at WP.com. Best bet is just have your final post point to the new blog with a link that they can click on.

You’d think they would address that issue, since they encourage us users to go it alone.

Now that I’m on my own, I totally love WP. There’s nothing you can’t do with a little FTP access and half a brain. =)

Yahoo WordPress Hosting Sucks!

I made the mistake of choosing Yahoo recently (just before they fell off the top 5 WP hosts list!).

After days of dinking with phpMyAdmin, MySQL,WP Import and futile call to Yahoo support just to hear “We don’t support that”, I finally got a straight answer from wordpress.com support who pointed out the fact that you must be on WP v2.1+ in order to import their .xml file.

Yahoo is running v2.0.2 and when I requested they “automatically” update their answer was “We don’t support that”.

Becareful who you choose to do your hosting, and don’t believe their “published claims”.
