    Hi Rafael,

thank you for reaching the support and for the detailed explanation of your situation.

Let’s go straight to the point, the Amazon PAAPI Scratchpad is the official Amazon API sandbox test to check the if the API are correctly working. From your screenshots I can see that they are returning back an error. Seeing that kind of error I’m quite sure that the issue is about your API credentials/account and is unrelated with this plugin. Once you will get your API keys working the plugin will work smoothly.

Ok, but why your API keys are not working correctly? That’s a good question, for what I see from the scratchpad screenshot it seems a throttling issue. Amazon limits the number of requests per second made by each Affiliate account. This limit varies and depends on the number and on the magnitude of completed orders made from your affiliate links. So the more you sell the more you can call the API for product information, and viceversa. From my experience even with few sells you should be able to call the APIs quite frequently, at least once each 2-3 seconds, before getting throttled.

So now you have to investigate why Amazon is throttling your account. Are you making any sells with that account? Are you using other software that use those API keys? Have you tried to test the API keys with the Amazon scratchpad in different hours of the day?

Thank you too for bringing out the issue.
(I’ve added a note to the plugin readme regarding cases like yours)

I wish you good luck with your affiliation marketing journey ??

Ok I figured it out… and I have not so good news for you (and for me as well).
    https://tutorial.altervista.org/link-di-affiliazione-icona/
With altervista you can put amazon affiliate links only through their proprietary solution called iconA.
If you do it by other means you break their term of service.
So now I’m 100% certain that the links are getting filtered at the server level and we can’t do anything about it.
You can keep your hosting and use their affiliate linking solution and discard Amazing Affiliates or you can change hosting and keep the plugin.
Choose whatever is easier for you.

I did the 3) LAST RESORT on your behalf.
Well, the links there are without the tags even before any scripts runs.

    This is quite strange…

Can you go to the product editing page to see what’s happening?
On any product page go to the Product Data section
Search for the affiliate link field (it’s the first)
The link shown there is with or without your amazon tag?

    Hello kazam1,
your compliments are more than welcome so let me start with a big thank you for those! ??

That said, what you encountered is rather strange and makes me think it’s not related to the plugin at first sight.
I will explain you briefly why:
    1) the plugin makes a call to the Amazon APIs with your credentials and the ASIN of the desired product.
    2) the APIs answer with the product data AND the ready-made affiliate link with your tag embedded.
    3) the plugin just recycles the affiliate link coming directly from the Amazon servers, and this by design, to avoid this kind of scenarios where something goes wrong and you end up without the tag in the link (or with a broken one)

To sum up, the links are coming directly from amazon and are the same data both in the backend and in the frontend. If it works in one place you SHOULD be getting the same in other.

So why the tag is missing in the frontend part of your website?
Something is going on for sure… it might be another plugin overwriting your urls or worse…
…I couldn’t notice that you are on a subdomain of altervista, so on a probably free website…
…and maybe your hosting is messing up your monetized links with a script.

So let’s try this to figure out what’s happening:
    1) EASY: try to disable all the plugin apart from Amazing Affiliates for 5 minutes and see if it is another plugin the culprit
    2) MEDIUM: search for clues of altervista doing things with affiliate links, maybe there is some options you can enable/disable that are conflicting
    3) LAST RESORT: try to inspect the frontend page and look for the html structure (should be ctrl+U). there you see the links (<a> elements) before any script change. if the affiliate links are with the tag in the structure and without the tag in the normally loaded page then there is a script installed in your website that is rewriting the affiliate links (and its a priority as an affiliate marketer to get rid of it ?? )

Let me know further, I’m here to help you

    Hello Hobby,
yes the dashboard is more “colorful” than the average analytics tools you may find online.
This is because the clever use of colors in the interface helps the user to quickly find what he is looking for, even when presented with a “wall” of miscellaneuos data! ??
Thank you for the feedback, it keeps me motivated in continuing the project!

    Hello jessie25,
reviews like this are really empowering and keep me motivated to improve it day by day! Thank you!

I’m glad it suits your needs as an Amazon Affiliate!
I’ve been an affiliate too and I know well how much time you have to spend and how much hassle you have to face just to import one product with the regular tools like the scratchpad.

It felt so cranky and time consuming that it made me learn PHP and WordPress to make my own plugin! ??

By the way I’m really proud of your appreciation and I hope you will give a try to the upcoming pro version I’m gonna release in the future
(I’m currently testing it but it will have way more customization to the actual product blocks, a new multiple product display block, a product field block and an inventory page to keep track of the products in the post and vice versa, cool isn’t it?)

Hello Hobby Doo and thank you for having used our Bubo Insights Plugin!
It’s an honor to have you aboard.
Yes, you can filter whatever you want in the Live Stats page:

    • Focus on the third filter panel and choose referrer (blue), page (green) or link (orange)
e.g. click on referrer to filter the page referrers
    • In the select menu on the left choose if you want a loose or perfect match/mismatch
e.g “Contains:” for a loose match
    • In the input field write any string fragment you want to filter in/out
e.g. “google” to match only the visits referred by google
    • After the first input you see a blu/green/orange colored button [Add filter], click on it
e.g. click on the blue button [Add filter]
    • The stats reload with you new filters, done!

You can mix up to three filters (one for referrers, one for visited pages and one for outgoing links).
You can remove the filters by clicking on the corresponding panel and hitting the colored “X” button.
The data reloads everytime you hit the buttons.

I hope I’ve been helpful and if you have any suggestion to improve the UI all suggestion are welcome! Our goal is to deliver the most user friendly Analytics tool as possible!

Kind Regards and… Merry Christmas ??

P.s. It would really help us a lot if you leave a review of this plugin (but only if you like it)

Thank you for reaching out and not leaving an hastily one star review! The plugin has just been uploaded yesterday night and I still had to check if everything was ok, my bad! I’m working out on the issue right now! Stay tuned and you will soon have access to this beatiful plugin.

    EDIT (After fixing it):
I’ve checked. The download was broken but all the files were ok! I’ve just deleted and reuploaded it in the repo and now it works fine.
    Please, enjoy!
