    – I figured out the close button, it’s working now, it was Z-index setting

    – Great to know that exit animation in dev plans, thanks!

    – For your question: “could you please elaborate a bit more on the length you are
    referring to?”…
You can find the answer at my 5th response on this thread above, I had written: “And also please, one more request. the modal box is limited to 1000 pixels, I would like to increase the length to avoid having the scroll bar…”

I was inquiring about increasing the length, not the width, of the modal box.

    – I don’t know what you mean by modal header “points”, do you mean pixels?
I was asking about the padding on the modal box header, it seems to be around 40 pixels above my content. The space between the close button and the top of my content.
It’s not adjustable. In future dev could you make it adjustable? It possible
it would be great if you also had the option of having the close button outside of the
    content area.

    Thanks

Hi ooohboi, thank so much for the quick reply, and all the detailed suggestions, and I’m sorry to reply so late! I’ve been away and finally had a chance to try out your suggestions.

    – The scroll to top button does work, but not automatically when switching tabs, although still better for UX to avoid scrolling
    – I couldn’t configure “Breaking Bad” to work, if I actually was setting it correctly..

However some good news, someone was kind enough to provide some HTML code and it did indeed work!

Thanks to you and others who take a bit of time to help us out who are learning web design. I appreciate you taking time out of your day to try to help. And again thanks for your excellent Steroids plug-in! I’ll send you the link of my site when it finally goes live. Have an excellent week, cheers

Hi Leap13, an update to our recent correspondence:

    1) The modal box close button is not functioning, does not respond to click, and when I hover mouse over there is no change from my cursor.
    2) The minimum padding on the modal box header is quite large, can you decrease the size? Because I don’t need the header but I need the close window button, and the header must be activated if you want the close button.
    3) Also please let me know when you add a fade-out effect for closing the modal window. The fade-in is nice but the exit is so abrupt and sudden, from a UX point of view, it would be more natural and smoother visually to have a fade-out exit animation.
    4) And regarding your message from a previous reply above: “Regarding modal box width, I’ve addressed that to dev team and it will be increased in the next plugin release.”
Yes, this is great, thanks for that, and please ask them to increase the length as well in the next release if possible.

    Thank you

Yes, this is a very important feature for UX. Please keep me posted, thx.

No problem Abid, thanks for looking into this for me. I guess “scrollsnap” wouldn’t work also in the code? I will keep you posted. Please let me know should you come up with a solution in the future. Cheers

Hi, also just want to confirm regarding widget settings > Style tab > Modal Box > Content Background Image. Is the background image set to reside within the modal box or behind it?

Hi, I’m not using a template for the modal box, I’m using the text editor within the modal box. Just to be clear in my last message I was asking to increase the modal box length, not necessarily the width, but I guess they could increase both in the next release. My concern waa mainly for the length for longer form content. Thx for checking with the devs on that

Sorry, I have problems with the link, but here are some screen shots, and I write down on the images some details to illustrate issues. Before and after modal triggered, you can see I also have problem of not able to change modal text color.

And also please, one more request. the modal box is limited to 1000 pixels, I would like to increase the length to avoid having the scroll bar, is it possible? Thanks again and best regards

Hi Abid, thank you very much for the code snippet. It solves a huge problem. I was wondering though, instead of scrolling to the top, is there a way to have it snap to top immediately? I don’t want the user to see the scrolling. When switching tabs I plan on having an entrance animation for each tab content. So upon activating the next tab the old content will fade out and the new content will fade in, so as to mask the movement of the new content moving to the top. Just to refine the user experience, if this is possible. Hope you can help, really appreciate your support.
    Thank you

Yes, that’s excellent, thank you very much, transparent success! Although I have an issue
with adding an image to the Modal Box background. When I insert an image it doesn’t reside within the box, it extends outside, by a wide margin. Here is a screenshot:

+ another small issue is: a white horizontal line appears directly under the upper close button, that runs the length of the modal box, I assume it’s part of the header. In style settings for header, the border type is set to “none” and both background color and color are set to transparent. Hope you can help.
    Thank you

Thanks for the quick response Abid! I’ll try the code once I activate the EA JS Extension and let you know the results, I’ve been looking for a solution all week. Would there be a workaround for tablet / Mobile modes?
    Cheers

Hi, the background is still white after setting the content background to transparent. I refreshed and cleared cache but the resulting modal box appears with solid white background. I’m unable to use it this way unfortunately, otherwise its a fine plug-in.
