Agree with above, I used a menu editor to hide them in the meantime.

I ended up migrating the newsletters over to Mailchimp as I couldn’t leave the form disabled and needed a solution which hasn’t been forthcoming. I realize that is unlikely to be an option for everyone though.

It would not be overly complicated to add captcha support, or at minimum a hidden field that if filled (as bots tend to fill all fields) would not send.

Lack of response from the author is a disappointing, but such is the nature of free things.

I imagine your sign up page is being targeted by spammers – they auto fill the form and submit thousands of times, which causes mailpoet to send the confirmation.

Without captcha or similar protections for the sign up form, this will continue to happen. I’ve had more than 8000 sent because of this and had to remove the sign up page (I posted about it an hour ago here https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/amazon-ses-mailpoet-captcha/).

These are the questions I have to answer from Amazon before the restrictions are lifted:

– What you determined was the root cause of your high bounce rate.

– What changes you have made in your systems or processes. (Please be sure to implement the changes before emailing us.)

– An explanation of how those changes will prevent similar issue(s) in the future.

Mailpoet is the cause, but I can’t answer the other two as it appears Mailpoet has no way to deal with this.

And I just found that ACF hadn’t been updating due to a license issue. I’ve now updated it and WooCommerce is working properly

Seems WooCommerce has this issue when Advanced Custom Fields PRO (Version 5.4.6) is active.

I attempted to post this about 5 times but it never showed so I was surprised to get a response.

Edit: oh, its not sorted by last post date. That’s irritating.

Its since started working properly after the first newsletter. Still at a loss as to where it got the info@ address. Or why the settings in the newsletter or plugin where ignored/not saved.

The email address doesn’t exist and not configured anywhere within wordpress or the server.

The postfix logs show it accepting the emails with info@ as the sender, indicating mailpoet sending them with that.

All other emails, notifications from this VPS send with the appropriate sender address without issue, no restrictions from the provider

I’ll see if I can replicate the issue and confirm where the issue/bug lies.

Worked a treat, thank you. It does means I’ll have to re-do if/when the plugin gets updated.

Potential future feature?

Figured this out. I changed rel=’lightbox’ to data-rel=”lightbox-gallery-xx” where xx is the post id.

It now only shows the images attached to the post.

Use the work around I mentioned in my post, editing the plugins blurry.php file.

Keep in mind that if the plugin is updated it will overwrite/revert it (if the author doesn’t fix it, and given the lack of response it might not be).

The only other method would be to include the wp search code on each template in your theme to handle it (only my index has this).

Seems shipping calculation was turned on in PayPal – if the value was between .01 and 49.99, it would add $10 shipping, between 50 and 99, $15, etc.

They claim they never changed any settings, but I’ve set to $0 for each range and seems to be fine now.
