– You would need get a separate account for Freight services and as per my knowledge, this would be sufficient for normal services as well.
However, we would suggest you to check with FedEx techsupport for further details regarding Freight account.– FedEx API has “Address Validation”, which is a special service and you need to get this service activated for your FedEx Account by FedEx. Once done, the addresses will be validated by FedEx API as ‘Commercial/Residential’ respectively.
-Since our plugin returns rates and services directly from FedEx API, if your FedEx Account has these discounted rates validated by FedEx API, then the discounted rates will be returned directly from API.

-Freight services will be returned only when the shipment ‘Total weight’ exceeds 150 lbs. Hence, if the package weight is over 150 lbs, then it is considered as Freight shipment by the respective carrier’s API directly.
If a single package weight is not > 150 lbs, then FedEx Ground will definitely return. However, the basic version of FedEx plugin does not gave Freight LTL services, but these are available in the premium FedEx plugin.
– The challenge is when both ‘free shipping’ and ‘FedEx shipping’ products are in cart. However, this requirement can be fulfilled with a snippet solution, which will skip the FedEx rates calculations for the ‘free shipping’ product in a combined cart and rates will be returned only ‘fedex shipping’ products.

The possible reasons for this could be, incorrect configuration of shipping rules & Item qty list or carrier Credentials.
Could you please share the screenshot of your settings and enable the ‘debug mode’ and provide us that info? So that we can check and help.
Note: Please do remove the account specific info from the request as this is a public forum
Regarding your queries:
1) Since using basic version, each product will be packed individually, hence, there should not be a problem. However, FedEx API servers were down yesterday, which must be the reason for the shipping rates not being returned. Also if you are using Test Credentials, kindly switch to Live Credentials, as this issue still persists with FedEx Test servers.
2) No, Multi-carrier basic/premium versions does not support Freight LTL shipping.

“No shipping methods” message usually occurs :
-When the product weights & dimensions are missing
-Invalid/Incorrect credentials
-incorrect shipper address
Can you please ensure all the above setting up are configured correctly and then try again?Also you need to configure your Canada Post Credentials in the plugin settings to link your Account to the API. That is:
-Merchant Username
-Merchant Password
-Customer Number

Thanks for the update.
This occurs often in FedEx test servers. However, on using Production server, it will not be a recurrent issue.
Once you get your production keys, kindly move to production mode, so as to avoid the server down issue.

You are getting “Service Temporarily Unavailable ” message from the debug. Could you please check after some time?
Also kindly ensure that all your products have weights & dimensions configured and Credentials are correct.
If the issue persists, kindly enable the ‘debug mode’ and provide us the complete FedEx Request and Response. We will check with it.

In order to check for the exact issue, we will be needing the complete FedEx Request and Response. Can you please enable the “Debug Mode” in your FedEx settings page and then place a product in the cart and Calculate Shipping.
