Images seem to upload, but 2.5 says it cannot create the necessary folders for image storage, although test posts (without images) display the correct folder hierarchy in a browser bar. (wp/wp-content/2008/04) I think that the database is converting the info to display in a browser, but not actually creating those folders, which compounds trouble shooting, for me anyway! When I look with FTP, there are NO Folders!

My permalinks are broken also. I switched to real links from virtual links. I suspect that maybe the Mod_rewrite module is missing from my server

I am new to this and have just upgraded to 2.5 and the trouble begins:

I have no input fields for changing my password from something other than “ituq456&^%7825” as supplied by god.

My install is also doing very insane things when I try to upload using the inline uploader. It puts about 5 copies of an image in my “wp-content” folder with all sorts of wacky names like 500×489-pic, or 150×3245.jpg, or whatever! The last thing I need is to discover 500 photos thrown in there one day! And it is changing all my photo names! I can not have this… period!

Also… why does the inline uploader cause my already coded photos (img src=”etc”) to disappear when I try to use it to upload photos into a post??? What is the purpose of this thing?

This is all VERY annoying! HELP!

I need any answer thats a little clearer than “at the bottom of the page there are 2 inputs to reset your password” … which there are NOT!!!!

Well Hoochki, I for one do not have 2 inputs at the bottom of the page (which happens to belong to Kie by the way), I even checked my profile page as if that might have been your meaning, boy do I feel stupid now since there is no input at the bottom of any of my pages. I give up… If you could please provide more than a short answer, I’d appreciate thanks.

Oh cool….. it’s 2.3.1 I installed this a few months ago and gave up basically.

Now I’m wondering if I should change it to 2.3.3 or just start over? I never finished it because it just wont cooperate.
