Thanks!
First thing i did was check Permalink settings it set to Post name.
Ok, so i made some new galleries and new albums and they worked ok.
Then I checked the old galleries/albums. They were starting to work, but not quite. So i manually went through every gallery and picked different thumbnail image and ensured they were not linked to any pages (some were).
Then i created new pages and new albums based on the updated galleries.
Everything was then working except 2 galleries that had special characters in the names which was messing up the link structure so I duplicated the galleries using simple names and re-inserted into the new albums.NOW I THINK EVERYTHING IS WORKING!
I think it must have been a combination of Permalinks and the old data from the old version. But ‘touching’ each one and making sure all settings were correct after changing the Permalink setting has seemed to fix it all! Many thanks for your patience!
Album settings:
album is named.
album has preview image assigned
page linked to: not linked.Inserted into page as extended album and a simple version, neither works.
New album was created and galleries re-added to it:
https://illuminatedvagabond.com/?page_id=871Galleries seem to work fine when inserted into post:
https://illuminatedvagabond.com/?p=1598
and the nextgen widget is also working fine from sidebarsHere is the shortcode for that page, but i’ve tried mutliple ways with no luck:
[ngg src=”albums” ids=”3″ display=”basic_extended_album” override_thumbnail_settings=”1″ thumbnail_width=”240″ thumbnail_height=”160″]I’ve also tried the basic 2019 theme with no other plugins running with no luck.
It seems the problem is isolated to the generation of albums only.cheers,

BTW I am able to see all galleries and images in the management panels.
Hi thanks for the advice…
I’ve tried your suggestions. But even creating a new albulm and re-inserting the galleries and adding it to the page again, it doesn’t seem to fix the issue. And when you look at the page source on the gallery page, it doesn’t seem to be pointing to any images/directory structure that exists? Is this because the table/database structure in the new versions is completely different?https://illuminatedvagabond.com/?page_id=871
The new links and img src don’t make sense,,, eg:
https://illuminatedvagabond.com/index.php/nggallery/paul-new?page_id=871Whereas the old linking/php convention seems to work, at least to pull some images:

Well…. as suspected something is broken upon upgrade.
NextGen sees the album and gallery information, but no images are showing at all.Wordpress 5.1
PHP 7.2
NextGen 3.1.7Not sure how to get everything re-connected and viewing properly. ??
Here are the 2 albums with galleries:
https://illuminatedvagabond.com/?page_id=905When i use the NextGen manager in the dashboard is shows gallery, albums and etc, and says there are images in each one, but nothing shows when you click on galleries to edit/view.
Any help appreciated!

In reply to: Flickr Gallery – Why doesn’t Lightbox work?Did one more test with default theme, it doesn’t load the other jquery, just the one that wp uses itself, still no luck with the next button working. so i left the test page above active for now. there are several other js being called in the head, but it is the same problem whether they are there or not.
thanks again, sorry for the multiple updates.

In reply to: Flickr Gallery – Why doesn’t Lightbox work?i setup a quick test page so you can look.
i do have askimet running to fight spam comments… i haven’t had time to see if that is what is loading the google jquery script. i tried commenting out the extra scripts in the header.php pages with no luck. i also tried the default theme with no plugins (other than askimet). i will try playing with it a bit more later today, but if you see something that jumps out at you as interfering that would be great.
thanks for the help!

In reply to: Flickr Gallery – Why doesn’t Lightbox work?correction, i do see a jquery script being loaded from google, but it doesn’t seem to be inherent in either the theme or plugins, for when i use default theme and no plugins, it’s still there in the code.
thanks,

In reply to: Flickr Gallery – Why doesn’t Lightbox work?Having same issues with the next button not working, it just gives a blank page, and then the page needs to be reloaded in order to see the first set of images.
Checked the header, hook is there, no other jquery scripts, tried disabling other javascripts just in case. Still no luck.
any ideas?
thanks,
paul
