In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Five] Child theme – how do I not mess it upWhen you write “its a mess” I don’t doubt it :). but it becomes really difficult for others to know what exactly you mean.
Consider the difference between “its a mess” and:
“I expected the font family (name1) to be used, but instead, the text is using font family (name2), how do I change it back to name 1?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Five] Child theme – how do I not mess it upHi
It is really difficult to tell from the screenshots.
I don’t know what steps you have taken. Did you name your child theme with the same name as in your previous tries? Maybe there is still something saved to the database.
I also don’t know if perhaps you just need to reset the cache.
Any settings you have changed with Twenty Twenty-Five active, you will need to do again with the child theme active, because the settings are theme dependent.
For example, if you installed a font family through the Site Editor Font Library when you had Twenty Twenty-Five active, then the setting is saved to that theme. So you need to install it again with the child theme active.
For the header, -I am only guessing here – I think you only need to select the correct menu for the navigation block.
Select the navigation block. Open the block settings sidebar.
There are three tabs. The first tab has an icon with three lines: Open it.
Find the three dot menu: When you hover over the icon it should say “Menu”.
See if there is more than one menu to choose from, then select the different menus until you find the one that matches.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Five] Translate some labels that are in EnglishHi
Yes, I understand.
If you have not saved changes to the database, the translation should load correctly, make sure that the translations that you have on your installation are up to date with the ones provided from https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-themes/twentytwentyfive/ and WordPress.
If you have saved changes to the database before switching the language from English (default) to Italian, the English strings are in the database and the template needs to be reset or the text strings need to be manually updated directly in the editor.Hi
There is no such list available, and from the developers side there are no plans to create one.
The patterns are examples. Use the image format that is suitable for your site and content.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Five] Full screen width background colorHi
In most cases, all you need to do is add a group block or cover block and set it to full width and add the color. It may be easier to help you if you can be more specific about which template you want help with updating.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Five] Translate some labels that are in EnglishHi,
If you have made changes to a template you will have to manually update the text.Hi
I am not sure what you mean with “hard CSS setting”.
You specifically mention all images in posts and pages.
There is no user interface in the Site Editor for changing the corners of only images that are placed in the content.
If you want to change the corners of all image blocks, placed anywhere on the site, then you can:
Open the Site Editor.
Open the Styles Panel, the one with the icon of a half white and half black circle.
Open the Blocks panel.
Select or search for the Image block.
Scroll down to the Border settings.
Update the radius, and save.
If you also want to change the featured images and cover block, you need to repeat these steps for those blocks.Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Five] Custom HTML Block – Bottom PaddingHi
I am not able to reproduce this on my test install.
Perhaps the problem is with the embedded iframe, not the HTML block? But even on your test site I do not see the this padding when I select the different HTML elements and view the code in the browser tools. I am using Chrome on MacOs.
Does it make any difference if you change the spacing in the dimension control of the group block?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Five] Sections don’t work appropriatelyHi
Thank you for the detailed report.
I was able to reproduce it using the single post template.
In this template, the color is set directly on the row block that contains the paragraph “Written by”, “in”, post author and categories.
Because the color class name is added to the HTML markup of the row, the text color is not updated like the rest of the body text color. That is also why it is not changed on the single post template when you change it in the JSON file for section 4.
I think this is an oversight, it is not intended, and I can open a bug ticket for it.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Five] Add a PHPYou need to use or build a custom block, or you can try to use a block binding.
These are advanced developer topics.
https://make.www.ads-software.com/core/2024/03/06/new-feature-the-block-bindings-api/
This is not specific to Twenty Twenty-Five, all block themes use HTML for the templates, not PHP.
Patterns use PHP, but simplified, they show what the PHP produced when the post content is saved.I did a quick, not extensive check and it seems to be the intended default behavior of the query, not only the query block, to not offset sticky posts when offset is used.
Hi
The top part of the template is designed to remain the same when you navigate to page two etc. The pagination at the bottom is added for the last query loop.
– There is a limitation with how the query pagination block works, it only works with one query, not multiple.
But the sticky posts are not supposed to be repeated. The query loops have an offset, that is intended to hide the posts that have already been shown. I found that for the offset to also hide the sticky posts, the sticky posts need to be set to “exclude”.
I am not sure if that is intended, or a bug with the query loop.
For now, you can edit the template and manually select the query loop blocks and change the sticky post settings. Or, you can choose to not use sticky posts on the site.
And I understand that this sort of defeats the purpose of having the same “featured” posts displayed at the top of the template, since you can’t use the sticky posts.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Five] Boucle de requête et paramétrageHi
And are you sure it doesn’t work if you add both the category and the custom taxonomy in the Filters panel?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Five] Adding a custom colors palette?Hi
You can add a new palette but its a bit hidden. You have to open the theme palette first.
Open the Site Editor so that you can open the Styles panel (the one with the half white half black circle).
Select Colors.
Now click on the palette.
The first palette is the theme palette. This is the default.
Below that is the text “Custom”.
And below that are the palette presets from the theme, the alternative palettes.
Next to Custom, there is a plus icon (+).
If you hover over it, it says “Add color”.
This is where you add your custom palette.
