I believe it is because if you are predicting a draw, you have more chance of getting the full 10 points for correct score as realistically there are only really 3 or 4 outcomes at most. These being 0-0, 1-1, 2-2 & very rarely 3-3 or above. I believe if you look at the average odds offered by bookmakers, 1-1 is by far the most popular lowest odds and most frequent scoreline in football.

If you are choosing a team to win there are many more variables 1-0 2-0 2-1 3-0 3-1 4-0 4-2 4-1 3-2 which are all scores which regularly come up.

That’s my thinking anyway ??

ok done the update but put users scores to zero. So finally worked out how to do database & altered tables and now appears to be working fine !! Thanks

don’t mind editing php files or editing values inside myphpadmin but im unsure what the ALTER TABLE is and how to do it so I beter just await the update to be safe I suppose.

Bonuses for scoring work, but only if you had a wrong prediction.

You are correct – “if you bet on the 1-1 draw between Mexico and Cameroon or even if you had bet on Cameroon’s 2-1 victory, you would earn 1 point for hitting the scoring of Mexico (1 goal). “

but it IS NOT working if you had correct scoring on winning predictions.

if you bet on 2-1 victory for mexico , you SHOULD earn 6 points for win PLUS bonus point for winning margin. However winning margin and correct scoring ARE NOT being applied when you have the main points of 10 or 6.

Just to update, I have noticed an extra factor after updating 2nd match scores.

It appears that the bonus points ARE updating, but only for results which are NOT CORRECT.

For example, in first round no bonus points were awarded, but everyone chose brazil win wo everyone had “correct score or result points”

In 2nd result mexico won 1-0.

Players who picked 1-0 got 10 points
Players who picked 2-0 got 6 points
Players who picked 1-1 got 1 bonus point.

So, bonus points are not being cumulative on winning scores or results but ARE being counted for wrong predictions (you have 1-1 draw match finishes 1-0).

I am in uk & so is server. I didd see that game times are 1 hour earlier than should be for me. Predictions also close 1 hour before kickoff time

My problem persists. Bonus scores didnt apply. I dont want to manually input bonus points for every prediction as its not practical.

I’m not as savvy either but maybe willing to try. Where can I find a copy of 1.8 ?

GRELL – is there a way to perhaps downgrade to 1.8 for us then but still keep the users & current predictions ? That could be a goer ?

I secured a small sponsorship from a major betting company for the competition and now have to try think of something off the hoof lol

4000 ?!!! Is that 4000 members choosing results or 4000 predictions. I am a bit lucky I suppose with only 40 member entries but still people are signing up even today adding to the number.

Could edit each score manually but I have a life too lol and not sure how long to update 40 scores x 3 matches per day :/

Even entering manually there may be a risk that something else goes wrong :/

Bit of a mess.

Looks like we all need to await the plugin authors resolving issues. Pity its such a time sensitive issue and none of the authors have even given any acknowledgement so we can at least feel better but maybe they are busy. At the end of the day theres more to life for some people although it is quite distressing for us all at the moment.

The plugin worked perfectly when I installed and tested last month so assume one of the updates has cause issues :/
