If a visitor refuses cookies / tracking, then, there shall be no connection which enables the tracking. What includes for instance Google fonts, that have to be on server side in such a case. If Gpay is implemented on product pages, what is the good reason to call Google before checkout, and even anywhere before payement?

The link with google or apple servers, out of checkout / payment makes your plugin not compliant with GDPR. And probably the same issue in several US states.

With apple pay and google NOT activated at all, I have Google complaining about the 700k of JS

Of course, Stripe is also a render-blocking 3rd party, since they do not enable to load the scripts on site.

All in all, the changes that you proposed are ineffective; 850k in total are still loaded by your plugin, negatively and hugely impacting page speed and page load.

Second point: when google pay is deactivated, could you please precise why stripe is connecting to google pay?

Thank you for this comprehensible and detailed feedback.

This is your plugin description: “Offer Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Stripe’s Browser payment methods on product pages, cart pages, and at the top of your checkout page.” So, I did it.

And iwhen made so, the “price” is 800k loaded, as you saw, with few seconds of render-blocking. And effectively, if those Apple & Google pay are not activated, it’s back to “normal”, ie stripe is not loaded on product pages and archives, page speed is much better, and thus not render blocking, and thus not irritating for visitors. I understand that those 800k are not related to the plugin, but it’s HUGE. Maybe should make people aware of it?

I have http/2, so no need to group scripts. And since js.stripe.com is a 3rd party script, it’s not managed by my cache or any minification “tool”.

I have mini-cart. So, maybe the rightest thing to do would be to have the option to only activate Apple and Google pay on checkout page?

This is beyong my knowlegde and competencies, so I will couple of days to test and investigate. My gut feeling is that it’s probably due to hosting … between apache, nginx, varnish, Memcached …
Re. security, I have 3 plugins wordfence, wp cerber, and bot protection (malcare), but not ithemes’, I had read the warning in your doc.

Sorry, I am a dummie. I reviewed the trouble shooting faq, and did not issue any clue there that could be relevant.

If I click on matomo analytics, or matamo / start in dashboard, it’s OK, it says that tracking is activated. I also checked that the tracking code is linked to my site.

If I click on “summary”, text is there, but all values are at zero or empty.

If I click on “report”, I have a 403 on nginx.

If I click on “settings” and the “matomo admin”, I also have a 403 on nginx.

When I look at diagnosis, I see this:

i.e. none in French.
What explains that I wrote that no log is generated.

In debug logs, I see this:

Weird answer, where you seem to be willing to shoot the ball in another field. Or seem to have read just the last sentence, while bypassing the rest.
Could you please explain then why it’s perfectly OK with your former version (2.0.26) and failing with last update (2.0.27)? I mean what would explain that my host would be blocking 2.0.27 and not 2.0.26? Give me the technical reason, and then I will be able to talk to them with a fact, rather than a belief or guess

Finally, it proved quick, and thank you for having chased, since I was wondering if you would be answering one day.
The doc you sent me relates to the IP of the administrator (my own IP). What does not relate to above mentioned point.
I am not a Tech, but my understanding is that Cerber blocks the IP of my server (136.244 etc)
