thanks a lot for all your help…
just been looking into custom fields to see what I can do, it’s a bit more complex than I thought it would be so decided to stick with what I have. It’s useful to know that each post can be targeted though as that will come in useful at a later date i’m sure.

Used a plugin to help resolve these issues as think it’s a WordPress wide issue and not specific to theme am using.

Ok incase anyone needs to know the outcome of this….I could not get the gallery to work properly but I do believe it’s WordPress and not the theme.

The way I got around it is by using the portfolio slideshow plugin which then shows my images in the order I’d like them to be shown in. You can have one slideshow per page/post or multiple ones which is what I’m using.

Ok so I’ve done as your suggestion but am still finding the order of the images are not remembered for some reason.

a typical gallery shortcode (see below) that I pasted in: I think the link=”post” is causing the issue as I actually think it’s linking to media library, if this makes sense? do you think this could be causing the problem

It’s SO frustrating, am wondering whether I’m better off trying a gallery plug-in with a slideshow feature which hopefully will resolve this issue?

I did try something similar to what you suggested but it seemed to be doing the same. I do think it’s a wordpress issue though not the theme.

However just to be clear that I understood your suggestion:
I now have 5 galleries in 1 post.
I should create 5 posts each with 1 gallery inside.
Then in a 6th post called Photos, I just insert the gallery shortcode for all 5 galleries. I then should delete my original post.

The only issue I can see with this is I would not want all the 6 posts to be visible just the Photos one I created…however if I then set the other 5 to draft so they are not published on my site, this could work in theory?

many thanks, opted for contact form 7 as suggested and works fine.

It seems to be working now.
I deleted everything relating to post circle changes and added item by item and seemed to work.

Update on smartphone appearance…..after much fiddling around…

I managed to find the culprit that is making my site act non responsively on phones – it was the changes i made to the circles on the homepage (changed background colour, font size and colour and hover background colour).

As soon as I deleted these lines from my child theme stylesheet the problem no longer exists. When viewing on a phone it now appears as the demo – 2 columns of circle posts.

Any ideas how i can change the post circles elements without affecting the responsiveness?
