In reply to: [wp-greet] Fails on multilingual sitesSorry, you get stuck with irrelevant details…
It does NOT matter where the action begins. One can start at the gallery (btw, there are 2 more gallery pages created with the same ng gallery shortcode but as “translations” of the default language page, to make sure any script could differentiate them!) and when they select the image it does NOT take the reader/visitor to the form in the same language the reader was viewing the gallery with. So, once again, here is the description of the issue:
ONE single site, one WP installation. It is a site in 3 languages, A, B and C; and every entry (posts and Pages) and menu items etc. has its own tranlation created by human translators and the langauge versions are connected by the WPML plugin. If I read an article in language B and click a link to its category or a Page or anything… the installation/WP/WPML remembers the language of my choice and unless the visitor clicks on a language switcher link/flag – it will NOT change the language.
Except your plugin. I am looking at the postcard gallery in language C and when the image is selected (=clicked) the script takes me to the default language A form. Although I have 3 pages where the form is displayed in different languages! Just the plugin can’t make the connection between the B-language gallery and B-language form.
Both from gallery in language C and gallery in language B > goes ONLY to the form in language A.Is it clear now?
p.s. I can give you the URL in private, it’s not a public site yet.
