Well, at least now I can feel relieved that it isn’t just me. For a minute, I really thought my account was suspended even though I didn’t do anything wrong. Hope this gets addressed soon one way or another.

Does anyone know any viable alternatives to WangGuard?

Finally, I’ve found a thread where people have the exact same problem as I’m having! Did anyone else find a simple solution for this for WordPress dummies like myself?

This happened to me too and I’m also currently looking for a solution. It also happened to me around the same time frame (about 3-4 weeks ago).

The only two changes I made to my site at around this time was:

(1) Upgrade my shared hosting account to a more powerful one (but with the same host, SiteGround)

(2) Switch from http to https.

I hope someone out there can help!

Should I send you a copy of the single.php file for my theme and then you can take a look and tell me where to put in the code?

Hi, guys, thanks for the response! Unfortunately, I am a WordPress newbie and don’t know anything about altering code. I don’t want to change anything else about the plugin. All I want is for it to say “Post Views:” in front of the actual post view number count. Could you tell me exactly what I would need to do?

@dfactory when I pasted that code snippet into the functions.php file of my theme, it seemed to break my site. When I went to the site the screen was just blank. Have you heard of this happening to anyone else before?

EDIT: What’s extra weird is that if I type in https://www.popmythology.com into my address bar the site comes up. But if I just type popmythology.com, the screen is blank. It shouldn’t matter – the site should come up either way. Do you know what happened? Please help ASAP!

@dfactory @deviceguru Many thanks to the both of you. I will try both methods suggested and see which works better for me.

@deviceguru, how did importing those stats from Jetpack work out for you? I’ve been thinking of using this plugin but I too can’t start from scratch.

Can you be more specific what you mean by solving the problem with “bulk actions”? I’m trying to fix the same problem too, and I also never used “persistent mode.”

After copying the comments.php file from the Parent theme folder to the Child theme folder, should I delete the file from the Parent theme folder?

I’m curious about this question too as it seems to make sense to have one overarching meta-admin who has control over everything. And then admins under him who can update the site and add plugins, etc. but can’t, say, delete the whole site if he was angry about something.
