yes, but where’s that? Physically, visually on the screen, not code.

    Oh, sorry, it’s postkatrinastella.com

I haven’t changed anything or installed anything. I just write. But every night around midnight for the past few weeks, I start having trouble getting bumped off of WordPress, then getting a screen saying “website not available” with a little square graphic of a head with dead eyes. All other online access and functions are good, so I just surf elsewhere and keep trying back. It’s only my blog that’s blocked. And it gives me no heads up that its autosave function has stopped, which I depend on since manually saving always throws me back up to the top of the page.
The only thing I can think of is that my current project requires that I work between 4 separate posts, keeping them open at the same time. Would something like that crash me?
It seems like a problem with wordpress, not my site or my machine, since it seems time-specific. Have you heard anything about problems they’re having, “shutting down for maintenance”? I suppose you may not be allowed to say that; but can you at least tell me when this problem might go away?
    Thanks alot.

This is what I put in my RSS widget: https://postkatrinastella.com/feed/ … which is what you told me.
My friends all say it didn’t work. One said it looked like it did work, but they got no email notifications or forms asking for their email addresses. Some say they got an error message saying “there is no RRS reader installed”.
I have never downloaded anything like Feedly, instead subscribing to sites by giving my email address to them. How can I install that to my blog.
One confusion. When you say you know you gave me the proper feed, does that mean that you tried it and it did work for you? You got one of my posts sent to you? Or at least got a form asking for your email address so that you could get my posts?
Please forgive me for whatever I am doing wrong. Could I using the wrong widget?

Grey Parrot, thank you so much for answering.
That’s the first one I tried. I get a page of code gobbledygook with the message “This XML file does not appear to have any style information” at the top.
These are the four I’ve tried. Nothing happens with any of them.

    https://example.com/feed/rss2/
I have a hard time testing them because I have to go back and forth between a yahoo and google+ account. Is there a better way?

By the way, my site is https://postkatrinastella.com. Sorry I didn’t give that to you at the beginning. Thanks again, GP

    Hi, Mark in the UK
You once answered a guy who asked how to make the header and nav menu stretch the length of a screen. What I would like to do is make the whole page stretch the width of the screen, to eliminate those two columns of wasted space on either side of the page altogether.
My old blog theme (wordpress; Andrea – calhounrising.wordpress.com) allowed this, and my blog style and topic depends on hi-res photos being wrapped with text, side by side within the same visual field. I have just started a domain using Genesis/Prose, for lack of finding any other premium theme that will stretch out to fill the screen. Is there code that would accomplish this, and where do I find it?
Thanks so much, Mark in the UK

    This is to LittleBigThing –
You once asked someone, “Do you mean by full width page a page that spans the whole screen/browser?” In my case, that’s exactly what I want.
My old blog using the free theme Andrea gave me a full screen of usable space, but my new Genesis/Prose theme does not, and my layout of photos and wrapped text goes out the window. Is there a code to expand the whole page’s margins to eliminate those two columns of wasted space on either side of the page?
    Thanks so much, LBT. Stella

Does anyone know if there’s a child theme for Genesis that allows for full-screen width (not just headers, but content as well, with no wasted space outside the side margins) and transparent pages, so a background photo shows through the whole screen? Many thanks to all with this frustrating problem and my frustrating lack of knowledge.
