Unfortunately the solution you suggest is not working, and it’s precisely why I posted a question in this forum.
To turn of the slider on the Front Page doesn’t allow the Feature Image to be displayed at the top of the page like it does on other pages. It’s just not displayed at all.
I have gone around the problem by using on the Front Page a slider with a single picture in it, but I would prefer not overloading the page with unnecessary code.

Unfortunately it’s still not working, I can’t either add a new video (message: Video thumbnail failed to save) nor delete an empty album (nothing happens then, no error message)

I am also experiencing this problem. I cannot add videos to the galleries (error message: Video thumbnail failed to save), and cannot delete albums either (nothing happens then).
My site is: https://www.digitpaul.se, using WordPress : 5.2.1 multi-site and PHP/MySQL : 7.2.19 / 5.5.5

Hello Gaby, thank for this update, the Nextgen Gallery is working as before now

Well, I disabled all plugins and enabled them again one by one and found the culprit, it was uTubeVideo Gallery. When this one deactivated, the Nextgen Gallery started to work again. These two plugins add cohabited peacefully during 1 year though, a pity I need to find another solution for the videos now.

I also gave this problem although I did not update to WP 5 yet.
I can access the Overview, Add Image, Gallery Settings, Other Options pages,
but Manage Galleries, Manage Albums, Manage Tags give a 403 error.

Problem solved by modifying the address from witch emails are sent.

PS: I guess the problem is due to compatibility issue with olevmedia toggle but I can’t figure how to solve this

and unicode for apostrophies around 5.
