Some themes have an option to use the first image in a post as a featured image. Maybe yours does? Check the help for your theme to see where you can find the setting.
It may be in the theme’s global settings or possibly in the individual posts.

It could be a plugin conflict. Try deactivating your plugins and testing to see if it works. If it does, re-activate the plugins one at a time to see which one is causing the problem.

If that’s not the issue, it could be your theme. Try reverting to the WordPress default theme and see if the problem still exists.

If that’s not the issue, it may be a php memory problem. Some premium themes have a system status page and flag php issues like this. But try the first two before wrangling with this one.

Have you tried searching the plugin repository for link analytics?

You might want to consider re-installing the update. It kind of sounds like something didn’t work right when you did it earlier. You can do it from inside your WordPress admin updates page.

It’s generally not a good idea to edit the core WordPress files. It might make it act oddly to users the next time you do an update.

What happens when you uncomment it?

Sometimes when you load the file manager it hides some files. When you click the “file manager” link, does a small window come up with various display options? You’d be looking for a checkbox or some other type of option selector that would say something like “Show hidden files”. Be sure to check that box before opening it.

IF you see the .maintenance folder, delete it. If not, we’ll try something else next.

Who is hosting your website?
If you’re using yahoo, log in to the control panel->open file manager->browse to the main directory where your site files are. You’ll see folders called “wp-admin”, “wp-content”, “wp-includes” and then a list of other files.

In that list of files, look for one called “.maintenance” (no quotes) and delete it.

Clear your browser cache and try reloading the page.

If you’re not using yahoo to host you’re account, let me know what you are using and I’ll try to help with that one.

I don’t think this is a plugin limit. Your MySQL might have a restriction of 1000 rows affected per query and/or a timeout limit that can’t accommodate large queries.
If you can get 1000 at a time, do it 30 times.

What theme are you using? There may be a setting in the theme settings to disable/hide the header. If you’re using a premium theme, try checking out their support page.

First, the admin page is /wp-admin (not pw-admin).

If that doesn’t work:
Do you have ftp access to the files? If so, go to yoursite/wp-content/plugins.
Find the Theme My Login folder and rename it to something else.

I think what you’re looking for is a “vertical tab slider” like this.
That plugin looks abandoned so I wouldn’t recommend using it but I did find a premium plugin that does the same thing except better here. There is a free version of the plugin but it doesn’t have the vertical tab layout.
