I’m the author of both Global Translator and Global Translator Pro.

Bens translator is a modified clone of Global Translator (which is distributed with GPL license), so it cannot be considered illegal.

Honestly I’m a bit worried about that initiative because the author didn’t contact me before cloning my plugin: I know that he wasn’t obliged to do this but in my opinion we could work together instead of completely separate. This doesn’t really help the community… Anyway he can do this…

At first you have to decide if you want to specify a list of paths to include or exclude and after that just put inside the textarea the list of the URIs (one for each line)

For example if you want to exclude the following URLs
https://mysite/about
https://mysite/contacts
just choose “Don’t show the popup for the following paths” and put
/about
/contacts
inside the textarea

The latest version 0.5 make you able to define inclusion/exclusion paths.

I’ve successfully tested it on WP 2.8, but if you perform an automatic upgrade, it is important to backup the wp-content/gt-cache directory because it could be deleted by the upgrade process and this mean that you’ll loose all your translations.
