In reply to: [Site Reviews] Disregard this review! Thanks for looking into this, although I must point out that I actually didn’t ask you to – I just switched to another reviews plugin that works for me (since I found out I actually had two reviews plugins on the site!)
Consequently I’m not very motivated to supply more info to investigate a plugin that I’m no longer using.
My experience was that the problem went away when I deactivated your plugin – but I’m willing to believe that my investigation of which plugin was causing the problem was not as rigorous as that of a software testing professional would be. So I’m going to delete my review in case I’m doing you a disservice.
The reason you couldn’t find a search and dropdown menu is probably that I’d already deleted it by the time you looked.
Best regards,Andy Smith
Yes, it turned out I was using a fixed-width 150px button! I made it flexible and that has solved the problem.
Thanks for all your help.
Yes it does! The cols-align-bottom thing works perfectly.
I had less luck with the Columns Stacking option – the effect kicks in at some screen widths but not others, as you can see from these 3 screen shots (Edit: columns stacking is ‘medium screen’ in the first column, and ‘default’ in the others):

Hey I’m sorry, I gave you the staging version which of course you would need a login to see.
The page is now live at https://webstore.coachingleaders.co.uk/practical-nlp-podcast-back-episodes/ so I wonder if you could take another look?
I have added the additional CSS but I wasn’t sure which columns block to apply the cols-align-bottom to – the block containing the cards, or the block within each card that has the price and the button?
Also I have an additional problem with the button positioning – when the browser window is at certain widths, the buttons overflow the edges of the cards (see screen shot:

Thanks, got it!
To get a single ‘card with shadow’ block, I’ve been using the ‘two column cards’ pattern and then just deleting one of the cards – the remaining card expands. Seems to work ??
Hi Marco,
Yes, I’m using Siteground (my host)’s SG Optimizer plugin that includes cacheing

In reply to: [EU VAT Redirect] Shortcode does not seem to workSorry, still couldn’t get it to work using that link text:
https://gyazo.com/1ebdaccb45486d8e988d2678aad94f14 (screen shot of visual editor)
https://webstore.coachingleaders.co.uk/sandbox/ (resulting page)
The only way I’ve found to make it work is to take the URL text generated by the shortcode and then manually enter it as a link. Which is doable, just a tiny bit of a faff. Otherwise the plugin solves all my problems, and I’ll send you a little donation (would have been bigger if it was easier to use with clearer instructions!) once I’ve got it working ??

In reply to: [EU VAT Redirect] Shortcode does not seem to workHmm, forget the floating box/javascript thing then!
I still can’t make the shortcode work even with a one-word product ID. I guess what I really need is instructions or an example of how to use the shortcode, because I can’t find a way to make it work ‘as is’.
What I will have to do if the example isn’t forthcoming is to use the shortcodes to make URL texts for each product on my ‘sandbox’ page, and then paste those URLs into my button codes – which seems a bit longwinded.

In reply to: [EU VAT Redirect] Shortcode does not seem to work(sorry, just realised that I had https://webstore.coachingleaders.co.uk/sandbox/ set up as private – I’ve now made it public)
Also, the payment processors that I’m using (SendOwl for outside EU, Paddle for within EU) each have a nice little pop-up box to take payment that floats over the product page, reassuring customers that it is in fact legitimate.
(you can see this effect by clicking the ‘buy’ button for any product on webstore.coachingleaders.co.uk – the free products go through SendOwl, the paid-for ones go through Paddle)
Using the redirect plugin, the payment box floats over a blank page, so that might lose the occasional sale. (you can see this on https://webstore.coachingleaders.co.uk/sandbox/)
Is there any way to get the payment box back to floating over the product page?

In reply to: [EU VAT Redirect] Shortcode does not seem to workYes I did.
I *was* able to get the link to work using the URL generated from the shortcode though. See this page: https://webstore.coachingleaders.co.uk/sandbox/
And here is the code from my WP edit page:
—
EU VAT Redirect test pageNLP Trainer’s Megapack?buy link (using the URL generated by the shortcode)
[euvat_countrydetect product_id=”megapack”] (entered in ‘Visual’)
[euvat_countrydetect product_id=”megapack”] (entered in ‘Text’)
—-
So I was able to make it work, but with a workround – if there’s a more straightforward way that I’ve missed, it would be helpful to have instructions on the plugin page!
Thanks for coding this – it will make a big difference to my business. A couple of sentences about how to use it would make it even more helpful.

In reply to: [EU VAT Redirect] Select only one EU countryCan I add another vote for making the base country configurable? My business is based in France but the bulk of my sales are to the UK.
I had the same problem today. It seems to have been resolved by deactivating the plugin and then reactivating it, but I’m concerned the problem might come back. Should I do the .htaccess file edits that DavidWoods and regiscassidy specified?
