Nudge?! This seems pretty basic, so I hope I am just missing the setting. Makes no sense to have all these user types if you have to do everything manually.

I guess I am not understanding. This is a WooCommerce product, where the issue is that it SEEMS like WooCommerce requires that there be a Shop page of some sort, and if nothing else is defined and working, the Blog page gets used by default, so a list of all Products shows up at the bottom of the publicly available Blog page. The thing is, I don’t use my site that way, I am using Academy Theme to provide online courses, which are then tied to Products automatically, so whenever I am advertising a product, it’s actually the Course that I point to. Also, I sometimes make a custom product for a particular customer, and I email them the link. I never want anyone to see a complete list of products, since many of them are private.
I had hoped that by setting the Shop to point to a Private page I would get what I want, but WooCommerce is so insistent on there being a Shop page that when that page is set to private WooCommerce again defaults to using the Blog page. For now I have a page called NoShop, which is public, but not linked to. So if someone tries to use https://www.domain.com/shop they get a page not found error. But that is an inelegant kludge and my hope is that I am just missing a setting, and in fact I can just tell WooCommerce not to use a shop page at all.

Seems my issue is the fact that Clicky doesn’t support HTTPS in the free version. Having to sacrifice security to just validate an addin with all my other addins leaves me wanting to find an alternative to Clicky. Unfortunate.

Ulrich, that’s awesome, thank you! I have the download, but I am also on a big deadline this weekend and probably won’t get a chance to play with this before early next week. I’ll keep my eyes open for the “official” update as well.

I use WordPress and the Academy theme to offer web training, and often a customer will want to set up a second account as a generic company account, so that multiple people can access the content, but the manager still wants to use their own email for that second account. The time required to create and monitor a dummy account is pure waste.

BTW, did you test twice, once without a coupon? Because I have two orders showing, one at full price for paypal that is Pending, and one at the coupon price that made it to Processing. I assume you did two, but I want to be sure it is behaving as I elect before I go live this week.

I think the difference may be that I had put in an incorrect coupon code, then tried the correct one. Certainly a possible real world scenario. Thanks for testing, I’ll see what the theme author has to say.

well, at least I know it isn’t me imagining things. I did just update the theme, so that might actually improve things, but I suspect at this point I may just abandon FlowPlayer in favor of WP Lightbox Ultimate in any case. I need a decent way to show my videos at original resolution, and Flowplayer was only giving me easy access to small and full screen versions. But I may just throw FlowPlayer back on with the new theme just to see if it’s still broke. Good education for me. ??

OK, so here is the video at initial creation.
Then while editing and before clicking Update. Note the Post type is Video.
And immediatly after clicking update, I end up in the open Post, and the post type is now Post.
FYI, the same was happening in 3.8.3, and now in 3.9. The site is hosted at WPEngine, not that that should make any difference I wouldn’t think.

Yup, that’s the theme. I’ll get some screen captures here in a bit. That’s reassuring that someone is using the same theme with no issues.
