In reply to: [WooCommerce] Fatal Error

    Hello @nick7766!

That is okay. Can you tell us when exactly you encounter this “Fatal Error” message? Does it happen on a particular page?

We would still like to take a look at these DB errors. Please provide us a screenshot of these errors.

It will be great if you could share your current System Status Report. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.

We’ll check and get back to you accordingly.

    Hi there @taku0407!

As I understand you are applying shopping costs to your users as per the shipping class, and want to display the applied shipping details differently as per the shipping class.

If I understood your requirement correctly; then, please note, generally, if a template requires modification, you need a developer to make to change this for you. But, we are not sure what shipping details you’re referring to. If you could provide us some more information about your requirement; it’ll give us a better idea of your setup and we can guide better.

Also, it will be great if you could share your current System Status Report. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.

    Hi @fgaesh!

Can you please check if WordPress itself is on the latest version, i.e. v6.1.1.

If it isn’t, please update it to the latest version and try again.

In case this doesn’t help, please share your current System Status Report with us. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.

We’ll check and get back to you accordingly.

    Hey @leo26mi!

Sure, you can subscribe to the issue updates as follows:

This way, you’ll know about its progress. I also suggest you keep your WooCommerce plugins up-to-date.

    Best!

    Hey @jhonnwest!

    > I need to remove the shipping_company field and change to required shipping_neighborhood field but I can’t do it.

I understand that you wish to remove the “Company name (optional)” field and also add a required field with the title “shipping neighborhood” on your site’s “My account > Address > Shipping” page.

This is possible to achieve using the Checkout Field Editor. It lets you edit/add/remove checkout fields from your site as well as mark the fields required/unrequired as follows:

Another way to achieve this is custom modifications; you can hire WooCommerce developer to achieve this for you.

Let us know if you have questions.

    Hey @pagonz342!

    > What we did, for now, was to revert to a previous version of the plugin and that seems to be working fine. Waiting to hear back from them.

Good to know that you were able to resolve this issue for now. As you’ve created a ticket now, someone from the team will get back to you.

In case of any problems, let us know here.

    Best!

    Hey @pagonz342!

Thank you for providing the SSR. I do not see any issues here.

Can you please perform a conflict test on your site to see if this solves your problem?
    Conflict test instructions: https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Make sure to clear your site cache before proceeding with the conflict test.

If you find the problematic plugin/theme, you’ll need to contact its developer to get the issue resolved. However, if you are not comfortable performing this conflict test on your LIVE site; you can create a staging site and perform your tests there.

If this doesn’t help, create a ticket directly with WooCommerce support; based on your plugins list, you are eligible for premium support and we might need access to your site to troubleshoot this issue.
Ticket can be created from here: https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/

    Hello @pagonz342!

I checked your site and the error logs, and I see the problem.

Are all of your plugins up-to-date? As per your error logs, the system is trying to call a function that does not exist; this happens when some of the plugins aren’t updated. If these aren’t updated, I suggest you update them and try again.

Do take your site’s backup before updating.

Also, regarding the issue with the ‘Checkout’ page, it seems you’ve modified your Checkout page template. If yes, temporarily switch your site’s theme to “Storefront” and re-check. If the problem resolves, there is an issue with your theme/custom modifications.

However, if switching the theme doesn’t help, send us your site’s current System Status Report. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.

We’ll check accordingly and get back to you.

    Hello @mikepalmer!

I believe you are referring to this extension: https://woocommerce.com/products/stripe/

We always advise our users to use TEST mode for staging sites. For the Stripe gateway, you can enable TEST mode, generate TEST API keys, and then use Stripe TEST cards to perform your tests.

    Reference: https://woocommerce.com/document/stripe/#test-mode

But, if you wish to use LIVE mode for your staging site, you can do it; I am able to use the same Stripe TEST API details on two of my test sites. It doesn’t ask to verify the domain.

If you have questions or if you are referring to something else, let us know.

    Hey @martijntje!

Sorry for misunderstanding you earlier. As you are not able to replicate the problem; we do not have any idea what might be causing it.

So, this needs further troubleshooting. Please answer the following questions:

    1. Did this happen to just one client or more than one?
    2. If it happened multiple times, is there any common thing between these orders like any particular product?

Also, I noticed you have template modifications in your SSR report. These modifications can be causing issues too. If this problem happens often, will it be possible for you to switch to the default theme like “Storefront” for some time and see if the issue reoccurs?

    Awaiting your response.

    Hello @martijntje!

I see the problem in your screenshot. Kindly note that this isn’t the default WooCommerce behavior. This might be happening because of an installed plugin or theme.

As you are able to replicate the problem yourself, please perform a complete conflict test on your site to find the problematic plugin/theme. Here are the steps: https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Once you find the problem, you can contact its developer to get the problem sorted.

However, if this doesn’t help, share your current System Status Report with us. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.

We’ll check your setup and get back to you accordingly.

    Hello @leo26mi!

Kindly note that these notices aren’t errors and should not affect site’s working. These are deprecations, so everything should be still working as expected.

Generally, depreciation notices are disabled on production servers. But in your case, these might be enabled. Please disable these using these steps. You can also ask your hosting company to disable these for you.

Let us know if you still face any issues after this.

    Hey @belpixel!

We are not sure what exactly is triggering this empty message popup.

Are all your active plugins up-to-date?

This could be happening because of the cache as well. Please clear the following caches from the “WooCommerce > Status > Tools” section:
    1. WooCommerce transients
    2. Expired transients
    3. Orphaned variations
    4. Used-up download permissions
    5. Clear template cache
    6. Clear analytics cache

Also, if you have any site cache plugin installed, clear that as well. Also, sometimes, hosting servers offer object caches; clear those too, and re-check.

If this doesn’t help, perform a conflict test as specified here: https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/
This basically involves disabling all plugins and switching the site to the default theme. Then enabling each plugin one by one to see which one causes the problem,

    Let us know your findings.

    Hello @rbk69!

As I understand, you want to add a ‘Date’ field, preferably on the ‘Checkout’ page to collect the birth day information of your users. Is that correct?

If yes, then we have an extension named WooCommerce Checkout Add-Ons that allows adding custom fields to the Checkout page.

However, with this plugin, there is no option to add a ‘Date’ field; but, you can add a text field and make it required. Users will have to type in their birth date manually into it.

If this doesn’t solve your purpose, you might be able to find a third-party plugin that allows adding the date field on the checkout page.

Let us know if you have questions or if you are referring to something else.
