In reply to: [PressForward] "feed problems" with valid feeds?Jim, dismissing the error will inactivate the feed. (If you’ve already done this, you can quickly change the status of feeds in the Subscribed Feeds panel using the bulk actions option.) Feed alerts are posted when PF tries to retrieve and is prevented from doing so (by a slow server, etc). You can change how many times this has to happen before you get an alert under the site options tab on the preferences panel. If you make the “number of errors before a feed is marked as malfunctioning” very high (keeping in mind that PF is set to retrieve every half hour), then the problem will really have to be sustained before you’ll get a feed alert. We keep ours set at 50, so that the problem has to persist for longer than a day to warrant an alert.

In reply to: [PressForward] Nominations count is always 1 even when multiple nominationsHi, rshirazi,
This is in github as issue 411, and we’ll be resolving it in the next milestone. Let us know if it persists once that’s released.
Thanks!

In reply to: [PressForward] Google Alert Feed Returning 404 ErrorsThanks for the question, amelkisethian. I’ve just added the feed to my own test site and am getting the same error, so let me check into it further. Are you getting this message with any other feeds?

In reply to: [PressForward] No contentNominate This will only work with specific posts, not from sites, so you might want to make sure you’re nominating a post page, not the main page of a site. If you’re already doing that, I’d suggest reinstalling the bookmarklet in your toolbar. You might also try a different browser. (And please let us know if that solves the bookmarklet problem.)
All the posts you create will be published to your blog page. (As PressForward is not an autoblogger, you’ll have to choose, format, and publish each page individually.) If you want to create a special page that *just* publishes the posts that you’re sharing from different feeds, you’ll need to create a category archive page for those posts.

In reply to: [PressForward] No contentSo they are showing up in the subscribed feeds but don’t populate the “all content” area? That’s where they should be.(I tried adding your feeds to our sandbox today, and they’re populating no problem, so it’s got to be something else.) What happens if you use the bookmarklet to nominate an item from those sites directly? (You can install the bookmarklet by just dragging it to your browser toolbar.) Do the items show up in “Under Review”?

In reply to: [PressForward] No contentHi, Dave,
A little more info: Did you get a “you have added a feed” message when you added the feeds? Do you now see them in the “subscribed feeds” list? Finally, are you getting any broken feeds alerts on the “add a feed” page?

In reply to: [PressForward] No articles from the feed on ssl blogGood to hear! Let us know if you have any other problems.
Thanks to Aram, the problem of individuals being able to nominate an item multiple times will be solved with the next release. We’re working on the list of nominating users.
You’re right that it looks like an individual user can nominate a piece multiple times. (You shouldn’t see the same piece multiple times, but the nomination count will go up.) I’ve opened an issue on that, and we’ll work on it. Thanks!
