Do you have some time frame for your plans for tags widget implementation ?

Is it possible to use tags like links in external widget ? For example if I create gallery with tags and in the case if every gallery tag have some permanent link I can try to use this linked tags in some custom widget with HTML inside it and list of the tags linked to your gallery tags. Is it real?
