Turned out one of the plugins was acting up. Once he renamed the plugins directory (in my host control panel) I was able to log in to my site. All plugins were automatically disabled by wordpress because they could not be found. Then he renamed the plugins directory back but i could still log in since all of the plugins had now been disabled. Went through one by one to find which plugin was the culprit but they all worked, so he deduced that one of the plugins just needed to be deactivated and reactivated for some reason. All is well, now. Thanks!

@lebowski – Deleting the app did not help.

@shane – it does not. that’s where it sends me after i attempt to login. In firefox it’s a blank page, in IE it’s the 500 message.

I will contact my hosting company (bluehost), although the webpage is still up and running. Thanks!

Webpage works, by the way. I just cannot log in to the admin page.

I have the exact same problem. Same message. I had just tried to install the facebook app and simultaneously upgraded to 3.4.2 or whatever the newest one is. I went in to my host and deleted the facebook plugin manually, but still nothing.

Ok, so I created my ml blog and made a whole bunch of “pages” (not posts) as I planned on them all being static links and not data/time posts. Well, I changed my mind and started cut/paste all my pages to posts.
Now, in my wordpress control panel (for my blog) I have one post for each post, the page having been deleted, but in the host control panel, in my phpAdmin, each post is duplicated. For example, all of my posts at even numbers, so my first post is https://myblog/arachive/2250, and my second post is https://myblog/archive/2252. In myPHPadmin, howeever, there is a duplicate of 2250 at 2251, and it is labeled “inherit.” And there is a duplicate of 2252 at 2253, and it is labeld as “inherit” as well. It seems to be causing mySQL slow querie problems. Can I go through and delete all thoe “inherit” posts? Is there any reason to keep them?

I’m having the same problem. My post are https://myblog/archives/2250/ Then the next post will be https://myblog/archives/2252. Then the next is https://myblog/archives/2254. etc. Every post is given every other number. In my hosting account, however, in my phpAdmin, I see that WordPress is creating at least a second post of every post I create and labeling it “inherit.” So post 2250 has a copy at 2251 labeled “inherit,” and so on, and it is causing mySQL_slow_querie problems as instead of the 300 or so posts, myPHP shows 1900+ posts. Any suggestions? I am at a complete loss.
